Joe Biden Confounds Onlookers During Back-Slapping Joint Event With Mitch McConnell

It’s been a while since I’ve written a piece on Joe Biden’s penchant for confounding audiences everywhere, but to be fair, there’s been a lot of other stuff going on to take up everyone’s time. Alas, a new year has seen its dawn, and it’s time to get back on the horse.

Besides, there are multiple angles to this latest example, including the fact that it happened at a joint event with Mitch McConnell. Yes, you read that correctly. The current Republican Senate Minority Leader decided to appear in his home state with Biden to brag about passing the president’s agenda.

To be somewhat fair, such a joining of hands isn’t unprecedented, but it is inexplicable in the current political environment. When George W. Bush appeared with Tom Daschle at an ethanol plant in 2002, both men were jockeying for an electoral advantage just prior to a major election. Daschle was certainly not there to celebrate and share credit in Bush’s supposed achievements.

Yet, here we are with McConnell promoting Biden’s agenda as a success because some pork is making its way back to Kentucky. If anyone is wondering why GOP voters can’t stand the establishment of the party, that’s why.

But I digress, let’s get to Biden’s remarks because they are noteworthy all on their own. You might want to find a good wall to stare blankly at after this.

He’s fine, though, guys. There’s nothing at all to worry about when the President of the United States makes less sense than your average nursing home patient. Honestly, what is he trying to say?

If I had to take a stab at what Biden means, I think he’s saying that other countries don’t exist to serve American interests. If I’m right, that’s an insane way for a president to view foreign policy. The entire point of dealing with other countries, including the massive amount of taxpayer money we give to them, is to advance and protect American interests. But if Biden doesn’t believe that, instead seeing himself as some kind of global moral savior, it explains a ton about why his foreign policy is so disastrous.

The fun didn’t end there, though. McConnell was also privy to enabling this bit of absolute tripe.

I love this new standard for what a recession is that the Biden administration has invented. You see, it’s a recession when you have a single quarter of negative growth during a massive pandemic under Donald Trump, but it’s not a recession when you have two straight quarters of negative growth during a period ripe for recovery under Joe Biden. Got it?

That’s the kind of gaslighting we’ve all come to expect from the president and his cohorts. No other administration in history has so abused language to push its partisan aims. Even worse is that so many in the press (and even the various dictionaries) are willing to play along to the detriment of common sense and objective reality.

In short, the president is senile, but he’s also dishonest. What a great combination to have in a leader. I’m sure that has nothing to do with the current state of the country.
