Pelosi spokesman says no comment on report her husband was arrested for DUI in Napa while she gave the commencement at Brown University. Spokesman Drew Hammill:

“The Speaker will not be commenting on this private matter which occurred while she was on the East Coast.”

It appears that Nancy Pelosi has more to worry about than gun control and abortion. Hitting more closely to home, TMZ reports that the House Speaker’s husband has been arrested for driving under the influence.

The incident occurred in Napa, California, and bail was set at $5,000. TMZ has the scoop.

Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, was arrested this weekend for DUI … TMZ has learned. The House Speaker’s spouse was arrested just before midnight Saturday night in Napa County, and then booked hours later into jail on two counts — driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or higher…both misdemeanors.

Paul Pelosi is 82 years old, which would lead anyone to wonder what the world he was doing drinking and driving. Heck, why is he driving at all? Someone of his age probably shouldn’t be, and besides, the Pelosi’s have gotten so fabulously rich off the back of government that you’d suppose he could afford to call an Uber.

At this point, neither Nancy Pelosi nor any family members have acknowledged the arrest, which appeared on a booking docket. As TMZ notes, there’s also no word on whether the Speaker herself was with her husband at the time of the arrest. Given it’s Memorial Day weekend and Congress is in recess, it’s at least possible she was.
