Israel Levels a Building Shared by Hamas and 'News' Outlets, Whose Freak-out Ignores the Bigger Story

Israel isn’t playing around with Hamas this time around. While terrorist apologists plead for “proportionality” now that they’ve messed around and found out, the Jewish state seems determined to do more. As of last night, rockets were still being launched at Tel Aviv, signaling no end to the conflict in sight.

Part of the IDF’s campaign has included destroying buildings that Hamas uses for intelligence-gathering, and command and control. Once, such building happened to also be an office complex for Al Jazeera, the Qatari-funded, terrorist propaganda outlet. The Associated Press also had space there.

After multiple warnings and a “knock bomb,” the building was evacuated. Then this happened.

Per Axios, the AP president gnashed his teeth over the incident.

“We are shocked and horrified that the Israeli military would target and destroy the building housing AP’s bureau and other news organizations in Gaza,” AP president and CEO Gary Pruitt said in a statement on Saturday. “This is an incredibly disturbing development … We narrowly avoided a terrible loss of life.”

One: no, they didn’t narrowly avoid anything. Israel called to warn them and dropped a knock bomb to let them know exactly when the attack was starting. Secondly, perhaps Pruitt should mention whom he was sharing the building with? That would seem prudent. Even in Axios’ headline, they obscure that fact, calling Hamas “others” instead of naming them.

Other consternation abounded after the attack was carried out.

Here’s a thought for the journalists so upset by this — perhaps don’t share a building with a terrorist group? And let’s be clear: the AP and Al Jazeera almost certainly had to have known that Hamas was using the building. These are investigative outlets, after all.

And that’s really the story here, and it’s the one the media do not want to talk about. It’s not that Israel blew up some reporter’s cubicle. It’s that mainstream news outlets have been happy to serve as human shields for Hamas. In a saner world, that would destroy the credibility of any outlet that engaged in such. But our world isn’t sane, so you get wailing and playing the victim.

The excuse often used here is that by allowing Hamas to operate around them, these news outlets gain “access.” Sorry, that’s not a dog that hunts, when you are talking about a genocidal terrorist group. If the Associated Press’ standards are so low that they are willing to wittingly or unwittingly aid terrorists, they should be investigated, not humored as they cry about the consequences. As to Al Jazeera, we already know what they are, so it’s less surprising that they’d be involved here.

Besides, I’m sure they’ve all got insurance, right? After all, I’ve been assured property damage does not amount to violence.

The American press is broken. They are not only biased, but they are also dangerously immoral. Hamas is launching rockets indiscriminately into civilian areas, and all the AP can manage to cry about is that they lost their shared office space with terrorists. Anyone looking at this should be asking the obvious question — why were they doing that in the first place?
