Dr. Fauci Melts Down Again, Attacks Scott Atlas and Predicts Doom

Dr. Anthony Fauci is at it again. The estranged COVID task force leader has continued his media tour and his criticism of the Trump administration have grown more forceful. Naturally, his lack of introspection about his own failings is on full display as well.

Here’s an excerpt of his attempted trashing of Dr. Scott Atlas, who has offered a counter to Fauci’s typical hysteria.

It’s beyond ironic for Fauci to accuse anyone else of not making sense. This is the same guy who was against masks (or lied about masks) before deciding they were the silver bullet for the pandemic. Yet, as the country instated widespread mask mandates early-summer, the disease saw a resurgence just months later, refuting the idea that yet more government overreach was the answer. We are also seeing the same thing happen in Europe, again providing evidence that masks are simply not an effective means of mitigation.

Given that, you’d hope Fauci could recognize he was wrong and stop pretending that he’s got all the answers. Instead, he’s predicting doom again while projecting that he’s still got all the answers tucked away somewhere. If only the bad orange man would violate the Constitution and listen to him, right?

Here’s more per The Washington Post.

“We’re in for a whole lot of hurt. It’s not a good situation,” Anthony S. Fauci, the country’s leading infectious-disease expert, said in a wide-ranging interview late Friday. “All the stars are aligned in the wrong place as you go into the fall and winter season, with people congregating at home indoors. You could not possibly be positioned more poorly.”

The fallacy here is the idea that we could somehow be positioned differently. What’s his suggestion? Yelling at people more about masks? Locking down again so that we can delay the inevitable while destroying the economy and costing thousands of lives via other causes?

As the tweet above notes, Fauci is almost always short on facts and data when he goes into these rants. In regards to his trashing of Scott Atlas, he provides nothing to back up his criticisms. Where has Atlas been wrong? There’s overwhelming evidence at this point that Atlas was in fact right about masks being largely ineffective. Perhaps Fauci should be looking in the mirror at this point if he’s looking for someone to ask aspersions against?

All of this is very calculated. Fauci is betting on Joe Biden winning, and he’s auditioning for his next position of power. With the former VP already promising to retain him in his position, Fauci feels no inhibitions in going after the current administration. Meanwhile, he knows he’s about to be canned by Trump no matter what happens on Tuesday. As per our usual arrangement, when it comes to Washington, it’s all about self-promotion and personal gain. Fauci is as cynical as any politician.
