Ted Cruz took Mark Cuban to the woodshed earlier today in a back and forth on social media. The owner of the Dallas Mavericks started the altercation by mouthing off to someone who said they wouldn’t watch NBA games if the players knelt for the National Anthem.
When Ted Cruz responded, Cuban accused the Senator of having no balls, because that’s the kind of mature discourse we have these days.
Have some balls for once @tedcruz. Speak to me. It's my tweet. https://t.co/QGza2qWoRR

Cuban has tried to raise his profile lately, though it was certainly already high, by being an outspoken supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement. This is just an extension of that, with him showing no ability to actually engage anyone’s concerns. If Cuban feels it’s proper to disrespect the country that has given these players so much, fine. But perhaps he should be a little better at PR than dismissing someone who says they aren’t supportive of such.
After Cuban went at Cruz, that’s when the bombs started to drop.
Speaking of balls, tell us what you think about China.
I’ll wait. https://t.co/s68JYk9MLR

Oh dear. Asking anyone associated with the NBA is like pouring salt into an open wound. Cuban didn’t answer at first.
Still no answer from @mcuban
Let’s try simpler. Mark, tough guy, can you say “Free Hong Kong”?
Can your players put that on their jerseys?
Can you condemn the CCP’s concentration camps w/ 1 million Uyghurs?
Can you say ANYTHING other than “Chairman Mao is beautiful & wise”? https://t.co/0XpLRaFSw2

That’s when Cuban came back with a myriad of deflections, showing how much of a coward he is.
I can say Black Lives Matter. I can say there is systemic racism in this country. I can say there is a Pandemic that you have done little to end. I can say I care about this country first and last and.. https://t.co/URFs41XloY

Why is it, @tedcruz, that you take such pride in standing up to and speaking truth to the Chinese, but you have no ability to stand up to and speak the truth to @realdonaldtrump ?

Someone is lacking balls here and it’s not Ted Cruz.
His excuse is that he only comments on domestic affairs. That’s absolutely laughable and shows just how beholden these people are to the CCP. They can’t even hint at criticism of the Chinese communists without fear of retribution and profit loss. They are truly putting money above lives, as China is currently committing gross human rights abuses against their minority populations (and to a large extent, have been for a long time).
Screaming orange man bad doesn’t make what China is doing go away, though Cuban would love for that to be the case. He’s comfortable turning a blind eye as he continues to rake in billions of dollars. He’s everything that’s wrong with our system. The NBA itself is a dumpster fire, run by cowards, from the ownership, to the administrators, to the players. We’ll see how much blood money they are willing to rake in before they stop shilling for a foreign adversary that’s putting it’s own citizens in concentration camps.
