The coronavirus is amazing. Not only has it caused a world-wide pandemic, but it’s also politically active. So active that it can differentiate between different causes and only infect those who aren’t sufficiently woke.

We’ve seen this dynamic with the recent protests. News networks will run stories just hours apart, one proclaiming the massive rioting and protesting causes no new cases while at the same time proclaiming going to the beach will kill everyone. None of it makes sense because none of it is designed to make sense.

But Oregon is now taking it to the next level.

Wokest virus ever.

There are so many issues here. One, this is blatantly unconstitutional. You can not have a mandatory mask law for only certain races. The fact that the local government would even try shows how far off the deep end they’ve gone.

But worse, this is essentially putting minority lives at risk if masks are really as important as they say. They can’t have it both ways. Do masks work or not? If they work, do they want black people to die?

The reasoning behind this is just as dumb. They claim that “people of color” (a terrible descriptor that appropriates the struggle of African-Americans) will get profiled if they have to wear masks. I don’t know about you, but I’ve seen tons of minorities wearing masks and I haven’t seen any examples of profiling, i.e. someone walking into a bank and being mistaken for a robber or something.

As I said though, this was never meant to make sense. There’s no science being used here or sound, rational judgement. It’s about the exercising of power. The more precedents get set, the more they can be abused in the future. Enforcing laws by race is just the next logical step in the left-ward reach by these states.
