Isn’t it just such a coincidence that this guy continues to repeat Chinese talking points throughout the current pandemic?

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus (hereby referred to as Tedros from here on out because I’m not typing that over and over) is borrowing a favorite American left-wing strategy by accusing Taiwan of waging a racist campaign against him. It couldn’t be that he’s shown himself to be a mouthpiece for the communists or that his corrupt background shows he’s been bought and paid for. No, it’s always racism.

This per The Hill.

Tedros, a former Ethiopian health and foreign minister who is the WHO’s first African head, said at a Wednesday press briefing in Geneva that Taiwan’s foreign ministry was responsible for threats and racist abuse he has received in recent months.

“This attack came from Taiwan,” Tedros said Wednesday, claiming the country’s diplomats had been aware of the attacks and failed to dissociate themselves from them, according to The Associated Press. “They even started criticizing me in the middle of all those insults and slurs. I say it today because it’s enough.”

What was this supposed racism? According to Jazz Shaw’s research over at HotAir, it was mundane stuff like this.

Then the Chinese got involved by parroting the “racist attack” narrative.

This is unbelievably disgusting and yet another reason why it’s time to cut off the WHO completely. Tedros is a proven corruptocrat who’s been dancing to the tune of the communists since early January. First, he put out a directive to not ban travel from China. Then he repeated China’s claim that there was no person-to-person transmission. Later, he would tout China’s fake response as the gold standard of response to the virus they created and spread. There is no question this guy is a stooge at this point.

Taiwan has been treated horribly throughout this by the WHO. Repeating Chinese propaganda about their supposed “racist” attacks is just another box checked. Taiwanese officials rightly pointed out the absurdity of all this.

The Taiwanese Foreign Ministry said the allegations by Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus were groundless and demanded an apology from the United Nations official a day after he told reporters in Geneva that Taiwan has been abetting a campaign of racist slurs and death threats against him for the past three months.

The WHO is an awful, useless money pit that does nothing but fight against the Western countries that largely support it. In other words, it’s exactly what you’d expect of an organization under the banner of the United Nations. It’s long past time to stop funding these monstrosities. Trump has the chance and the support to do so now.
