Yesterday, I wrote a piece on The New York Times misleading the public over a study regarding ventilator needs in the United States during the Wuhan virus pandemic (see The New York Times Tries to Spread Panic About Ventilators, Gets Epically Fact-Checked). At the beginning of that piece, I said the following.

The New York Times has been one of the worst news outlets during the Wuhan virus pandemic. They’ve consistently taken partisan positions and purposely misled the public. For example, after Nancy Pelosi tried to blowup the latest relief package, the Times decided to say it was the fault of Republicans — who had previously negotiated the bill in a bipartisan manner –because of course they did.

Well, it seems the Times wanted to one up themselves as far as garbage takes go. Now, they are blaming Evangelical Christians for the virus spreading to and throughout the country.

I’m not even going to link to the piece itself because they don’t deserve a single click for this discriminatory trash.

Frankly, I’m sick of this nonsensical crap being spewed in the media. Christians, Evangelical or otherwise, are not by and large anymore “anti-science” than any other contingent in the country. How many Democrats spit in the face of science every single day by denying that an unborn baby is a human being? How many crunchy (credit to my wife for teaching me that word) liberals in urban areas are anti-vaccination? How many left-wingers demand we stop fracking and using nuclear power even though the science says they are both safe and highly effective at lowering emissions?

Further, the idea that Christians of any sort are somehow responsible for a virus that started in mostly atheist China and spread fastest in the most liberally governed parts of the United States makes no sense whatsoever.

It should also be noted that Dr. Deborah Birx is herself an Evangelical Christian. Is she anti-science?

This is all idiocy of the highest order. Absolutely nothing about the President’s response has been a result of him supposedly not believing science. It was Trump who took early action, such as banning travel from China, even as the media and Democrats gnashed their teeth about “xenophobia.” It was many of the same outlets now trying to trash their political opponents who were downplaying the virus during that time, telling people to go to parties in Chinatown and hug immigrants for solidarity.

For these same news organizations to now publish such discriminatory bile about Christians is just disgusting, but it’s not surprising. These New York and D.C. outlets simply hate you. They hate your way of life and they hate your beliefs. While the country we share is more than big enough for all of us to coexist, they don’t want that. They want you ridiculed and marginalized until you give up.

Remember that the next time any of these “journalists” cry about some random Trump supporter calling them fake news.
