The country is currently in the throes of a pandemic, with mass school and business closures. Some cities are even ordering people to shelter in place, with people only able to leave their homes for basic necessities. The total impact to our economy is still an open question, but it promises to be massive.

What’s not an open question is why we are in this position in the first place. The Chinese government unleashed this onto the world because of their lies and lack of action. A study just came out yesterday that showed up to 95% of the spread could have been stopped had the communists acted three weeks sooner. But instead of doing so, they disappeared doctors trying to speak out and attempted a massive cover-up, even getting the World Health Organization to spread their propaganda.

You’d think these facts would rally Americans to blame the obvious culprit. Instead, we’ve seen the media clutch their pearls at the mere mention that Wuhan flu originated in China and spread because of China.

It’s not just the media, though. It’s also Joe Biden, who continues to parrot Chinese propaganda, even as the U.S. government is attempting to battle a misinformation campaign from the communists. Here’s his latest tweet on the matter.

Biden has been saying this for a while. He opposed the travel ban with China back in January, despite the fact that every expert that matters now agrees it saved thousands of lives. The time it bought us to prepare and act was invaluable. Yet, Biden described it as “hysterical xenophobia” at the time.

The former VP has also found himself defending China throughout his current presidential campaign. As Tom Cotton pointed out in his op-ed (which I covered here), he was downplaying any risk from China last year, even as it was obvious they were our top geopolitical threat.

Meanwhile, Biden offers gems like these on the campaign trail. From May: “China is going to eat our lunch? Come on, man. They’re not bad folks, folks. But guess what? They’re not competition for us.” And just the next month: “Our workers are literally three times as productive as workers . . . in Asia. So what are we worried about?”

Even going back further, Biden has repeatedly found himself defending China even when they merit no defense. He helped usher in the current status quo of dangerously coupling the U.S. economy to a repressive communist regime as a Senator. He’s spent decades downplaying their threat and overriding anyone who hopes to put protections in place.

Why does Biden, even in these tenuous times, continue to spread Chinese communist propaganda? What’s in it for him? Is he hoping they continue to flood the zone with bots and help his re-election campaign? Whatever it is, he needs to answer for it. Donald Trump was relentlessly hounded as a “Russian agent” for not speaking harshly enough against Russia in 2016. He was made to answer hundreds of questions on the matter.

It’s high time Biden gets the same treatment. He needs to explain why he almost never has a bad word to say about China and why his son made millions of dollars being involved with Chinese apparatchiks. Most of all, he needs to explain why, even in the midst of a national crisis, he still finds himself being a mouthpiece for the communists.
