I can’t imagine how this kind of political genius didn’t succeed in impeachmenting the President.

Adam Schiff decided to just let it all hang out there during his closing argument on Monday, going on one of the most bizarre, delusional rants I’ve ever seen from an elected official (and that’s saying something).

Apparently realizing he needed to go for broke, Schiff launched into the following tirade.

What in the…?

If there were ever a testament to the fact that watching too much Rachel Maddow is bad for the brain, this is it. It’s like he took her greatest hits of insane Russia related conspiracy theories and then said: “Hold my beer.” Trump is going to give Alaska to the Russians for support in the next election? Huh?

I’m pretty sure a President has the legal power to request an ally receiving Federal funds cooperate with corruption investigations. I’m also pretty sure he can’t just sign over a state to a foreign power for giggles. Trying to equate those two things, claiming that because one is allowed that the other could happen is mindless hysteria at levels rarely seen on the Senate floor.

As to the idea that Trump is going to retire to Mar-a-Lago and hand the keys to the White House to Jared Kushner, I suppose a President has the right to delegate as much of the job as he chooses to. While Schiff tries to paint the most ludicrous picture of such, it’s actually pretty normal for a President to be surrounded by figures doing most of the grunt work. Is Schiff suggesting that’s impeachable as well?

This dude has lost his mind and it’s no wonder Trump is surging while the Democrat establishment is currently reeling.
