Things are getting worse in Iran, as multi-days of massive protests against the regime are taking place. Many of these center around Iran’s shooting down of a civilian airliner and their forced glorification of Qassem Soleimani, the former #2 that President Trump ordered taken out.

It was only a matter of time before the Mullahs responded and reports of violence breaking out are starting to flood in. Live ammunition, tear gas, and beatings have been posted on social media. There are also reports of deaths, including this video showing a woman who was shot by a shotgun.

WARNING: while the video doesn’t show the moment the woman is shot, the video is graphic. I feel it’s important for this stuff to be exposed to the light so people can stop obfuscating about what’s actually going on.

The above Twitter account was at the forefront of leaking pictures of the Ukrainian 737 shoot down from inside Iran and I trust it as a source for further information.

The man seen running at the beginning is a member of the Basij Militia, which is a pro-Islamist, pro-Mullah group that serves as an enforcer within the country. Khomeini is actually the founder of the group and used it as part of the Iranian Revolution in 1979.

When you see videos like this, it makes the contrast of responses even more stark. People are being gunned down, beaten, and imprisoned for simply standing against an oppressive Islamist dictatorship. The least Americans can do is stand with them in our rhetoric.

Instead, we’ve seen not a single 2020 Democrat aside from Joe Biden even offer tepid support. Leaders like Nancy Pelosi have spent their time making false equivocations and obfuscating from offering support (see Nancy Pelosi’s Response to the Iranian Protests is Absolutely Disgusting).

If there was any question left about whether the Democratic party has the fortitude and ability to steer American foreign policy, their latest machinations involving Iran answer it completely. They are so beholden to their partisanship that they’ll not only stick their fingers in their ears over atrocities like this, but they’ll actively shill for the regime.
