Is there anything sacred left in this world? I mean, if you can’t trust James Comey, who can you trust?

With the release of the IG report, RedState had been mowing through the revelations and it’s gotten to the point where it’s hard to keep up with all the lies that have been exposed. Most prominently, the way Devin Nunes was wrongly eviscerated by the media, Democrats, and some “conservatives” for exposing the FISA abuse that is ultimately proven in the report stands as one of the biggest shames exposed.

Then there are people like James Comey, who spent the last three years trashing anyone who questioned him as seeking to unfairly damage the FBI. The IG report is not kind to him and one thing that’s long been suspected has been confirmed – James Comey lied about his knowledge of the Steele Dossier.

What you see in the above excerpts is James Comey doing an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier. In it, Comey denies ever knowing the provenance of the Steele Dossier, stupidly claiming he thought it was paid for by Republicans. At that point in time, it was widespread knowledge that Steele was not hired on until the DNC took over seeking opposition research.

Further, it had also already been exposed that Hillary Clinton was one of the financiers. Instead of just owning up to it, Comey pretended he had been living under a rock and had no idea what was going on.

The IG report shows that to be a lie.

If you read the above section from the report, you’ll see that James Comey and Andrew McCabe were warned about the origins of the Steele Dossier (i.e. it was a Democrat political document) and its unverified nature. Despite that, Comey pushed for it to be used in the FISA application against Carter Page anyway. In other words, he was fully aware at the time exactly what the Steele Dossier was.

Worse, Comey’s response to the unverified nature of the dossier was to assert that just because it was uncorroborated, that didn’t mean it was unreliable. He claimed to have “probable cause” that Page was a Russian agent despite having no actual evidence of such. That gives you an idea of the cavalier, abuse of power with which Comey ran the FBI. He honestly believed he was an authority unto himself.

James Comey is a liar. He’s lied repeatedly the last three years (and no doubt before that). Despite the obviousness of his lies, he’s been lauded and bandied about as a man of honor. It’s nonsense and it’s long past due for the truth to be spoken. Far from being the last honest man in the country, Comey personifies everything that’s wrong with our government.
