He’s back.

Christopher Steele, the super cereal spy behind the garbage fire that was the “Trump Dossier,” has some new conspiracies to peddle and he apparently doesn’t lack for sniveling bureaucrats willing to entertain them. Confirmation bias is a heck of a drug I guess.

This all connects with the Brexit referendum. In case you haven’t noticed a trend, anything left-wingers don’t like is always the work of the Russians.

Rolling Stone wrote a piece today taking shots at Steele. They start by quoting The Guardian, noted UK liberal rag, proclaiming that there’s “fresh evidence” that the Russians have been infiltrating the Conservative party and that they influenced the Brexit vote.

From The Guardian, Monday, November 4th:

Fresh evidence has also emerged of attempts by the Kremlin to infiltrate the Conservatives by a senior Russian diplomat suspected of espionage, who spent five years in London cultivating leading Tories including Johnson himself….

The committee’s report is based on analysis from Britain’s intelligence agencies, as well as third-party experts such as the former MI6 officer Christopher Steele….

Christopher Steele became famous in the United States as the author of a “dossier” that claimed Russians had been “cultivating, supporting, and assisting” Donald Trump “for at least 5 years.”

Now Steele is back, claiming that the Russians have been cultivating the Tories and Boris Johnson for . . . five years.
You can’t make this stuff up. The only thing comparable would be Iraqi defector Ahmed Chalabi lobbying for a sequel invasion after the WMD hunt came up empty, and having the same humiliated media figures and politicians reach for pompoms all over again.

If this sounds all like garbage, that’s because it is. In fact, we now know the report will actually say they found no evidence at all of Steele and company’s latest conspiratorial trash.

Ace gave a good breakdown on his site today in his typical style.

So, here we have:

* A report partly compiled by Christopher Steele

* A “whistleblower”

* An attempt to claim that because this person knows this person and that person knows a Russian, the Russians have kompromat

* An attempt to claim that the Russians are in league with the party that’s been opposing them for 100 years, and to claim that they’re working against the party that’s been promoting Soviet/Russian interests and in fact has frequently produced actual bona-fide Soviet agents.

* An attempt to weaponize this ******** to swing an upcoming election

Wait wait wait wait wait — I’m pretty sure I’ve seen some of this before.

You’d think after face-planting so spectacularly pushing his drivel during the 2016 election that Steele would have difficulty finding new work. But we all know how these agencies work, whether it’s in the U.S. or the UK. As long as Steele is blaming the right people and peddling junk that reinforces the narratives of the right people, he’ll always have a paycheck.

You could let your dog analyze intelligence and get closer to reality than this guy gets. I’m also sure it’s just a coincidence that Steele continually finds himself inventing conspiratorial crap that just happens to support whatever left-wing cause is currently woke, whether it’s about Trump and Russia or trying to scuttle Brexit. There’s no political motive with this guy. I’m assured of it. He’s just doing his duty or something.

No one has done more to disrupt and damage the governance of this country in the last thirty years than this clown. We’ve literally suffered three years of political paralysis and the country being torn apart based almost solely on this guy’s made up and badly sourced dumpster fire “analysis.” If Steele doesn’t end up behind bars at some point, there’s truly no justice in this world.
