This is what child abuse looks like.

Greta Thunberg is a 16 year old autistic teenager who has been thrust into the spotlight as the face of the most hysterical aspects of the climate change movement. We were first introduced to her after she sailed from Europe on a solar powered ship to the U.S. to protest the matter last month. Even then, the irrationality and hypocrisy were on full display. The ship itself was highly carbon intensive to build and her handlers had crews flying to and from Europe to pilot the thing for the cameras. Because of her age, she was immediately deemed off limits from criticism.

Apparently, she’s not going away though, if for no other reason than her parents and the most radical elements of the left won’t let her go away. This led to her giving a speech at the UN yesterday that was absolutely bonkers, but also incredibly disturbing to watch.

This isn’t just dark, it’s pure delusion.

The speech is a turn from the language she employed in her earlier public appearances. Instead of diplomatic phrasing, we see Thunberg angry, lashing out, and pushing doomsday predictions that hold no basis in science. There’s no doubt she actually believes all this stuff, but we are not headed toward a mass extinction. No one has stolen her dreams and childhood except her parents who are alloweing this abuse to take place.

This is not normal and this is not a child who can be counted on to think and react rationally to what she’s being told to do. At one point, she proclaims she shouldn’t be at the UN and that she should be in school. Correct. There is no reason for a 16 year old to be speaking at the UN about things she clearly doesn’t understand. Even the worst case scenarios from the most hysterical portions of the IPCC report do not predict mass extinctions.

This is a new level of Malthusian-esque  insanity that you’d expect to hear in death cults. Instead, it’s being presented as mainstream political debate. I’m not sure where this leads, but it doesn’t feel like it will be anywhere good.

Manipulating an autistic child to push a nonsensical political agenda, which coincidentally revolves around re-imagining the world economy into a socialist paradise, is just disgusting. The people who are doing this to her, whether it be her parents, the left at large, or our compliant mainstream media, should be ashamed of themselves.
