The Left Decide They Are Against Environmentalism Because Orange Man Bad

A number of syringes are seen in the remains of a tent city being cleared by city workers along Division Street Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, in San Francisco. Homeless people have until the end of Friday to vacate a rambling tent city along a busy San Francisco street declared a health hazard by city officials earlier this week. The mayor's office says about 40 tents remain, down from a high of 140 tents this winter. I’m starting to think Trump could defecate gold bars for every American citizen and the left would still find a way to oppose him.

Case in point, San Francisco is a dumpster of feces and used drug needles. Literally, hundreds of thousands of used needles a month get thrown onto the streets and they are overwhelming those tasked with picking them up. California’s ordinances on the homeless are only making matters worse, as the police can not move people off public sidewalks, leading to shanty towns popping up in business and residential areas. There’s even a law which says shop-lifting under $900 of merchandise is only a misdeamenor, which means thieves are able to walk into stores and take whatever they want up to that point with little chance of arrest or pursuit.

It’s just a mess. You know what else it is? Bad for the environment. Used needles, trash cities, and human feces are things you’d think the left would join with Republicans on in agreeing they are bad and have to go. But nah, they are complaining that the EPA is going to cite the violations and start fining cities for not doing their jobs.

Naturally, because Trump must be opposed, this has drawn gnashing of teeth from the left, who’ve suddenly decided they don’t like the EPA anymore after treating it as a sacrosanct, quazi-religious organization throughout the Obama years.

London Breed, the mayor of San Francisco, hit back at Trump over his remarks, arguing the city was doing its part to try and address its homeless population by investing in shelter beds and mental health services.

“The president is cutting clean air and clean water standards, restricting our ability to regulate car emissions, and denying climate change even exists,” Breed tweeted. “He’s cut funding for homelessness and affordable housing. In SF, we’re meeting the challenges on our streets.”

No you aren’t. You’ve failed miserably and instead of blaming everyone else and complaining that Trump is looking to act, maybe you could try governing your city better?

Yes, I’d say living on the streets, dumping uses needles, and defecating in public is in fact an environmental violation. Is their some statute that says the homeless can’t be the cause of violations of EPA regulations? I don’t remember this kind of sympathy from the left when poor land owners were having their property seized under the Obama administration by deeming standing water as protected bodies of water.

Other’s, like Gov. Gavin Newsom, are complaining that Trump won’t give him federal money to clean the mess up. The President is right to not do so. California is a dumpster fire of mismanagement. The last thing that needs to happen is for money from more responsible states to be shifted into the coffers of the Democrat led joke that is the California state and local governments.

The left loves environmentalism, or so I’m told. They should be lauding Trump for enforcing regulations here and pressing their representatives to act. No matter how hard they try, there’s noway to pin this mess on Trump. This is all a result of Democrat policies. Perhaps the residents in California will finally wake up one day and try something different.
