All those people under that overpass because CBP has nowhere to put them may beg to differ.

While many Democrats have finally admitted that there is indeed an emergency on the border (although they use the world crisis so as not to admit total defeat), some still can’t come to terms with the reality of what’s happening.

Enter noted anti-Semite and Congressional fresh face, Rep. Ilhan Omar.

That’s odd, because just four days ago, Obama’s former DHS secretary admitted the border has reached a crisis level. Credit to Elizabeth Vaughn for first reporting on Jeh Johnson’s comments.

On Tuesday, there were 4,000 apprehensions. I know that a thousand overwhelms the system. I cannot begin to imagine what 4,000 a day looks like. So, we are truly in a crisis.

Even CNN, a network that previously set a new bar for hackery with Jim Acosta’s border denial, is now doing live shots from the border and describing the situation as a crisis.

As I reported last week, the CBP Commissioner made a very public pronouncement that the border has reached a breaking point.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Kevin K. McAleenan said the border has hit it’s “breaking point” during a visit to El Paso.

A huge influx of Central American migrants has made the El Paso Sector the second-busiest location on the U.S.-Mexico border.

For anyone to deny what’s happening at this point is simply delusion. Ilhan Omar, who also recently proclaimed the border emergency was just “white nationalism,” is living in a different world. She can not process events without clinging to tropes of racism and victimhood. Her mind is completely one track and she simply lacks the capacity to do anything but repeat inter-seciontal talking points.

It is her party that caused this mess. It’s her party that’s responsible for thousands not having adequate housing. It’s her party that’s caused such a massive influx by refusing to fix asylum laws that serve as a magnet for Central Americans.

She can’t just hand wave this away as racism, although she’ll certainly try. It’s time for Democrats to give it up and respond accordingly to the hand that reality has dealt us. Screaming about white nationalism and Donald Trump doesn’t help give CBP agents the resources they need. It’ll also backfire tremendously on them if they keep it up. Americans are not stupid. They see what’s actually happening and this will bolster Trump’s support for action at the border.

Those Democrats like Ilhan Omar who want to keep looking at water and telling you it’s not wet are welcome to do so. They only show themselves to be disgusting partisans who put cheap political shots above the country.
