BREAKING: Chelsea Manning Was Just Thrown Back in Jail

Chelsea (formerly Bradley) Manning was just taken into custody by a judge for refusing to testify before a grand jury.

Chelsea Manning, an anti-secrecy activist and former U.S. Army intelligence analyst whose release of classified information to WikiLeaks in 2010 sparked worldwide controversy over transparency in the military and whistleblower protections, was taken into custody at a federal court on Friday after a federal judge found her in contempt of court for refusing to answer questions before a secret grand jury.

To be clear, Manning is not a “whistleblower,” as the media often falsely labels him. He’s a person who leaked highly classified documents, resulting in the deaths of Americans.

In late January, Manning was subpoenaed to testify before a federal grand jury in a sealed case out of the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Virginia — the same district in which the goverment recently inadvertently revealed the existence of a sealed indictment against WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assange.

On Friday, after refusing to answer the grand jury’s questions, a federal judge found her in contempt of court and ordered her to be held in jail until she decides to testify or until the grand jury concludes its work.

Manning was subpoenaed, most likely to testify on what he knew about Assange and to give further information about their contacts. Manning refused (oddly taking the 1st, 4th, and 6th amendments repeatedly but not the 5th) and is now being hauled back to jail for contempt of court. Such a charge carries up to 18 months behind bars and the judge can hold him until he testifies truthfully.

Chelsea Manning received a commutation by former President Barack Obama prior to him leaving office. It was a disgraceful use of power, letting a traitor off the hook in a transparent attempt to boost transgenderism. Manning only spent 7 years in prison despite perpetrating the worst leak of classified documents in U.S. history.
