As we’ve reported, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has been recruiting gamers to man air traffic control towers because the competitive ones have mastered the art of the controller and managing streams of data hitting their consciousness all at once.
But what tools are at their disposal? If they’re not up to snuff, it doesn’t matter how quick their “twitch” is. Duffy says the Federal Aviation Administration will be rolling out new game-changing software in September that will revolutionize our skies:

It’s part of a $12.5 billion aviation upgrade initiative provided for by the 2025 “One Big Beautiful Bill.”

Make sure we can navigate weather way better, less delays and shutdowns, but also navigate traffic better in the airspace, because what America wants is, “I'm sick of the delays. Stop canceling my flight! I want to fly.”And it's all because of Congress and Donald Trump making sure this could happen.
Travelling used to be fun, but nowadays it all too often… sucks. The new software can’t solve the tiny seats, the skinflint airlines, or rude passengers, but if it can significantly reduce delays and improve safety, I think we can all applaud that.
