Iran continues to attack American targets in its fellow Middle Eastern countries, threatening to bring all-out war to the region.
On Friday, the Islamic Republic’s military said it had struck Kuwait’s Ahmad al-Jaber Air Base and inflicted damage on our assets, but the Pentagon has not confirmed any major damage. Meanwhile, the U.S. did not report any major airstrikes on Iran, a pause from the many nights of recent bombardment.
President Trump is at the presidential retreat Camp David in Maryland, hosting a Cabinet Meeting with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and other officials to discuss the ongoing conflict.
Kuwait confirmed the Iranian attacks:
In a statement, the Kuwaiti military said that it had detected and destroyed multiple drones in its airspace, adding that the interceptions had caused material damage from falling shrapnel but no injuries.
Iran’s military said the attacks came in response to recent U.S. military strikes, which have increased in recent days. U.S. Central Command, which oversees American military operations in the Middle East, said on Thursday that it had struck sites in Iran, including military command centers and missile and drone facilities, in response to Iran’s launching of ballistic missiles at American forces in the Middle East a day earlier.

The continuation of these blatant attacks is a dangerous escalation and an act that reflects a systematic hostile approach that cannot be justified or tolerated, the ministry stated.
It reiterated Kuwait's right to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, security, stability and the safety of civilians.

Egypt has now been drawn into the fray, although it’s unclear who attacked them:
There was also a strike for the first time in Egypt, where authorities said Thursday that an unidentified drone had caused an explosion at the Mediterranean port of Damietta the previous day.
That attack ignited a fire on two ships, including a U.S.-owned gas storage tanker. It did not appear to disrupt traffic to the Suez Canal, but analysts said it demonstrated how the conflict in the Middle East could further disrupt global trade. Commercial ships, including oil tankers, have been regularly targeted, particularly in the Strait of Hormuz, normally a key passage for global energy supplies.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi claimed that it could be a “false flag” operation, and that they had nothing to do with it.

Yet another country drawn into the conflict: Saudi Arabia. Their defense ministry said Thursday that 14 countries, including Bahrain, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey and Jordan, are now supporting a proposed Maritime Defense Alliance to protect shipping routes in the region from Iranian aggression.
