One of the biggest stories out of Washington, D.C., Tuesday was the resignation of Joe Kent, Director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) and a top deputy to Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. He had issues with Operation Epic Fury because he did not feel that Iran represented an imminent threat, and we didn’t have sufficient reason to attack them.
Many wondered how Gabbard would react, but she quickly indicated on social media that it was Trump, as commander-in-chief, who gets to decide who or what is an imminent threat.
On Wednesday, she shrugged off the drama and sat for questions by the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is holding its annual Worldwide Threats Hearing, and as you might guess, there was plenty to discuss. Since Iran is at the forefront of the headlines, we’ll start there.
The despotic regime is damaged but not dead, she said:

"Epic Fury is advancing fundamental change in the region that began with Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7th 2023 and continue with the 12-day war last year resulting in weakening Iran and its proxies.

The regime appears to be intact but largely degraded due to acts on its leadership & military capabilities. Its conventional military power projection capabilities have largely been destroyed leaving limited operations.
Iran’s strategic position has been significantly degraded.

Gabbard went on to emphasize the threat posed by the spread of Sharia law and radical Islamic groups:
🚨 BREAKING: DNI Tulsi Gabbard just WENT HARD against the rampant spread of Islamists and Sharia Law across the West, especially Europe

The above tweet continues:
"Islamist groups and individuals use this ideology for recruiting and financial support for terrorist groups and individuals around the world, and to advance their political objectives of establishing an Islamist caliphate which governs based on Sharia."
"[Islamists] and organizations associated with the Muslim Brotherhood poses a FUNDAMENTAL threat to freedom and the foundational principles that underpin Western civilization!"
"There are increasing examples of this in various European countries."
"And President Trump's designation of certain Muslim Brotherhood chapters as foreign terrorist organizations is a mechanism to secure Americans against this threat." — @TulsiGabbard
Gabbard also touted the administration’s stunning success at the border. All we needed was a new president:

"The strict enforcement of U.S. policies at the U.S. Mexico boarder & regionally have served as a deterrent, drastically reducing illegal immigration ... The president increases his focus on counter drug & counter cartel pressures, they're likely to seek ways to try to adapt their operations including shifting production locations, trafficking routes & methods" — @DNIGabbard
No questions have been asked about Joe Kent, but on Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that Trump still supports his DNI:
Fox News’ Dana Perino: There are reports Joe Kent was leaking information. Does the president still have full confidence in DNI Tulsi Gabbard?

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt: “He does, yes… Anyone who has been suspected of leaking or is proven to be a leaker will NOT be welcome in this administration.”
“There are investigations underway into leakers in this administration, and people WILL be held accountable for that.”
Editor’s Note: Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
