It seems like every day you read about some new violence against federal law enforcement, whether it’s harassment of ICE agents who are doing their jobs, vandalism at Department of Homeland Security sites, or a report that a Mexican cartel had ordered members shoot at Border Patrol agents from across the border.
There aren't many details regarding this new incident in Texas, but we do know this much: a man led Border Patrol and Texas police officers on a chase, crashed his vehicle, and then shot at them.
Now he’s dead:
The incident happened at the Sierra Blanca checkpoint in the Big Bend Sector between El Paso and Van Horn, a remote area.
The shooting involved Border Patrol agents and troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
The chase began when the man fled the checkpoint on Interstate 10 near Sierra Blanca. He crashed his car before firing at authorities, sources told Fox News.
Law enforcement officials returned fire and killed him. It was not clear which officers from what agency fired.
The good news is that no officers or agents were injured or killed.

It’s unclear what caused the confrontation, and the border has seen almost no illegal immigrants trying to cross since Donald Trump took office and ended Biden’s “let them all in” policies.
One report said a helicopter was involved in the situation:

The driver ran the Interstate 10 checkpoint, leading to a pursuit by Texas DPS (with helicopter), Border Patrol and local police. After crashing, he fired at officers, who returned fire, killing him. No officers were injured.
It’s unknown at this time if this is just an isolated incident or part of something more sinister. Obviously, let's hope for the former.
Editor’s Note: Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
