As we’ve reported, the United States and its longtime ally, Israel, have launched coordinated strikes on the Islamic Republic of Iran after ongoing negotiations failed to convince the mullahs to give up their nuclear dreams.
Of course, the despotic Iranian regime has already responded and is launching missiles at its arch-enemy, the Jewish state of Israel.
As RedState managing editor Jennifer Van Laar reported, the president made remarks as the attacks unfolded. But one thing he said is important to point out: he explicitly called on the Iranian people to rise up.
Remember when former President Barack Obama didn’t have their backs during their Green Movement in 2009? Millions took to the streets to protest oppression, obvious election fraud, and basic human rights, but Obama’s lukewarm “support” did not help them in the slightest.
All we needed was a new president:
🚨 BREAKING: President Trump calls on Iranians to OVERTHROW their government

“The hour of your freedom is at hand. Stay sheltered. Do NOT leave your home. It's very dangerous outside. Bombs will be dropping everywhere. When we are finished, take over your government. It will be… pic.twitter.com/kaW54061zh
It will be yours to take.
Of course, Obama later went on to adopt the noxious 2015 nuclear deal with Iran that gave them billions of dollars and no accountability. Now the chickens have come home to roost.

Barry has since admitted his recalcitrance was a “mistake.”
Former US President Barack Obama has admitted that he made "a mistake" by not supporting the Iranian people's 2009 Green Movement against the Islamic Republic.
Speaking during a podcast on Friday, he described the lack of public support for the 2009 protests as a missed opportunity to back the democratic aspirations of the Iranian people, saying, "In retrospect, I think that was a mistake. Every time we see a flash, a glimmer of hope, of people longing for freedom, I think we have to point it out. We have to shine a spotlight on it. We have to express some solidarity about it.”
Sorry, but you don't get do-overs when you're commander in chief.

Yeah, that’s kind of a big miss, Barack, considering those barbarians held 52 Americans hostage for 444 days starting in 1979 (and only ending when Republican President Ronald Reagan took over the reins).
Trump already took out the psychopathic sadist Major General Qasem Soleimani in 2020 during his first term, but the Iranian regime lived on. Hopefully, this is the end of them, and may whoever their gods are have mercy on them. They don’t deserve any mercy, however, because they have shown over their history that they are murderous, savage, and consumed by hate, and have no place in modern society.
I’m guessing I’m not alone in hoping that this operation marks their final demise.
Editor’s Note: Thanks to President Trump and his administration’s bold leadership, we are respected on the world stage, and our enemies are being put on notice.
