Bad Bunny Super Bowl Show Fiasco Gets Worse As Revolting Lyrics to His Songs Revealed

The Bad Bunny Super Bowl halftime show sparked plenty of controversy, starting with the fact that it wasn’t even sung in English, the official language of the United States. Can you imagine any other country doing that?

Meanwhile, men grinding on each other probably didn’t endear the NFL to folks watching with their families. There were also numerous leftist political messages strewn throughout that ticked off many viewers, millions of whom turned to Turning Point USA’s alternative show instead, headlined by Kid Rock.

Warning: Provocative content.

But the controversy only deepened following the Big Game as the original versions of some of Bunny’s lyrics were translated, and they are jaw-dropping. I’m not a prude, but frankly, they’re just gross and show the morality of a cat in heat. You can view them here, but I’m not going to print them.

Donald Trump Jr. took to X to say:

Here’s the lyrics. Please explain the wholesomeness in here. Maybe the 30% layoffs at WAPO weren’t nearly enough.

Bad Bunny (Mr. Bunny?) did not perform some of the more hardcore lines at the show, but there’s much debate going on about what he did sing.

A transcript of the Super Bowl performance that the Genius lyrics database translated online included some sexually explicit lyrics and expletives. But one of the reporters said Bad Bunny often mumbled through the expletives or cut off the word entirely in his Feb. 8 show.

Meanwhile, the failing Washington Post, which saw massive cuts to its staff in early February, causing much wailing and crying in leftist media circles, called it a “wholesome” show.

Rep. Randy Fine (FL-06) was not amused, writing on X that he wants the FCC involved:

You can't say the f-word on live TV.

"Bad Bunny"'s disgusting halftime show was illegal.

Had he said these lyrics -- and all of the other disgusting and pornographic filth in English on live TV, the broadcast would have been pulled down and the fines would have been enormous.

Puerto Ricans are Americans and we all live by the same rules. We are sending @BrendanCarrFCC a letter calling for dramatic action, including fines and broadcast license reviews, against the @NFL, @nbc, and "Bad Bunny."

Lock them up.

I remember vividly watching the XXXVIII halftime show in 2004 with my young son when the Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake “wardrobe malfunction” insult to our intelligence went down. My wife and I just looked at each other like, "What in the hell just happened?" We're trying to enjoy an All-American moment with our boy, and you felt the need to throw that at us?

Then in 2020, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira came to the stage to perform their “butts in the camera” routine. Once again, I thought to myself, there’s a place for everything, but this is not the place for that. I’m trying to watch some entertainment with my family instead of ogling half-naked gyrating ladies.

It just feels like — as Managing Editor Jennifer Van Laar wrote — the NFL is giving a giant middle finger to much of America.

It’s unclear if Fine’s complaint will go anywhere, or if Bunny did in fact run afoul of regulations. If he did cut out all the nasty lyrics, then he and the network might be in the clear. But where you read the original words, if you’re inclined to do so, you can’t help but wonder — why on earth would they pick a guy who promotes smut for their “wholesome” show in the first place?
