Treasury Sec. Bessent Tells 'Losers' Klobuchar, Elizabeth Warren to Stop Sending Him 'Incoherent Letters'

President Donald Trump just returned from a trip to Asia, where he wrapped up several big trade deals with China, South Korea, and other countries in the region. Meanwhile, the party of Argentinian president Javier Milei, La Libertad Avanza (Freedom Advances), on Sunday tripled their representation in their congress after the country’s midterm elections, giving him a resounding boost and more power to enact his agenda.

Neither of these things made leftist Democrat senators happy, and some of them evidently have been busy hounding Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent with their complaints. In one of the most brutal takedowns I have ever seen, Bessent told them exactly what he thought of them and the job they’re doing.

Specifically naming Minnesota’s Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Massachusetts’s Elizabeth Warren, he said they were “losers” who should be doing something useful like re-opening the government instead of buzzing around him like angry mosquitoes:

He won in a landslide with the poorest members of society voting for economic freedom—a notion anathema in particular to the Senate’s resident American Peronist, Senator Warren.

Hoo boy, call an ambulance.

The treasury secretary was responding to Democrats’ claims that he doesn’t care about the needs of regular Americans:

Bessent’s comments came after a group of lawmakers sent him a letter Monday accusing him of prioritizing foreign governments over U.S. farmers, as the administration weighs financial relief measures and China planned to cut back on soybean imports amid tense tariff negotiations.

The secretary told FOX Business' Maria Bartiromo on Thursday China agreed to purchase 12 million metric tons of soybeans "during this season," which he indicated would be before January, and said he expects the country to purchase at least 25 million metric tons of soybeans each year during the next three years.

Bessent wasn’t having it and said in his tweet that they should look in the mirror if they wanted to see who was really hurting American farmers:

As the attached photo demonstrates [shown in the above tweet], @POTUS is in Asia showing what successful American leadership looks like. Today’s announcement after his meeting with President Xi will be a resounding victory for our great farmers.

Bessent, however, was just warming up, and he absolutely lambasted the pair over the Democrats’ pathetic and desperate refusal to vote for a clean Continuing Resolution and reopen the government, which they now have shuttered for 30 days with their Schumer Shutdown.

Bessent:

While I know it will be soul-crushing for you, please re-focus your staff away from writing incoherent letters to myself and others, and instead work towards opening the government. If you decide to further add to your legacy of failure by voting to keep the government closed over the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, ruining the number one travel day for American families, you should both be ashamed.

Klobuchar responded with a snitty tweet, but it just didn’t have the same “wow” factor as Bessent’s. Like California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who has a press account that lamely tries to make the ever-coiffed governor sound like Trump, she’s just not good at this.

Since you and I have had no public or private personal “BEEFS” (Argentinian or otherwise), maybe it is just your jet lag from all the overseas travel.

There is more to her tweet, but you can probably guess a lot of what she has to say (hint: it’s mostly a list of complaints). She attached a picture of the almost empty House of Representatives as if this was some great “own,” as if the shutdown were his fault.

Newsflash, Sen. Klobuchar: it is not. The Democrats could vote to reopen the government tonight if they so wished. Your party owns this shutdown.

Meanwhile, it must be tough to watch your opposition rack up so many wins when all you can do is wail lamely. My advice to you, however: stop trying to tangle with Scott Bessent. It’s not going well for you.

In case you haven’t had enough, Bessent left a little postscript that said something along the lines of “Bless your heart”:

"P.S. I am happy to inform you both that the Argentine economic bridge has now turned a profit for the American people," Bessent wrote. "While ‘profit’ is a private sector word that you may both be unfamiliar with, I would urge you to look past your previous experience working alongside the Biden Administration’s autopenned efforts to bankrupt the US government."

Remind me never to tick off Scott Bessent.

Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
