It’s the same story over and over again, usually in blue cities in blue states. Man (or woman) commits crime, gets arrested, perp is released on parole or some other technicality, commits more crimes... Lather, rinse, repeat.
We’re seeing it in the case of the CPB officer shot in the face by an illegal alien in New York City on Friday night. As RedState’s Mike Miller reported, he had been arrested four different times in the Big Apple and was let back out on the streets by lenient policies and sanctuary city garbage to terrorize the community
It’s not a surprise, then, to learn that the psycho who plowed his car into a crowd outside a nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning in the East Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles should have been behind bars due to his previous activities, and not getting drunk in a bar.
He had not one prior bust, not two, but… eleven.
Fernando Ramirez, 29, of San Clemente, is expected to face a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon following early Saturday’s incident, which left 36 injured outside the Vermont Hollywood nightclub.
Ramirez was convicted of felony battery and sentenced in 2020 for attacking a man outside a Whole Foods grocery store in June 2019, KNBC reported Sunday. He was on parole at the time of Saturday's crash, but it's unclear whether it was in connection with the 2019 attack or another case.
Felony battery sounds bad enough, but he has plenty more on his rap sheet:
Ramirez has had at least 11 criminal cases ranging from misdemeanors to felonies, KNBC reported. In January 2022, he was charged with felony domestic battery and entered a not guilty plea. That case remains open and he also has a pending DUI case, the station added, citing the Orange County District Attorney's Office.

As we reported, the crowd yanked the guy from the car and beat him, and then an unknown vigilante shot him:

Many on the internet are celebrating the shooter, who remains on the loose, but I wonder if he is such an angel himself. He reportedly sported a silver handgun:
NEW: LAPD just released new images of a man accused of shooting the driver who plowed into a crowd of people early Saturday morning in East Hollywood, CA.

At some point, the man pictured below is accused of shooting Ramirez in the lower back and leaving the scene.
Los Angeles voters finally got rid of the awful, soft-on-crime district attorney George Gascón—replacing him with the much more sensible Nathan Hochman—but until folks in places like Chicago, New York and LA dump the progressive leadership in their cities that has championed such revolving door policies, we’ll continue to see this type of story over and over.
The left’s soft-on-crime policies have wreaked havoc on America.
