I feel like I could write a variation of this sentence almost any day of the week: “Federal judge blocks Trump’s [insert anything he does here]…”
Since Thursday ends in a “y,” yet another jurist has decided to dictate federal policy on illegal immigration. To wit, U.S. District Judge William Orrick issued an injunction on Donald Trump’s order to withhold federal funding from several so-called "sanctuary" jurisdictions. Sanctuary cities and states refuse to cooperate with authorities on stopping the flow of illegal immigration and repatriating gang members and violent criminals back to their countries of origin. How this is legal is beyond me.
Not surprisingly, San Francisco was in the mix, apparently because they think they’ve done so well on the immigration issue:
U.S. District Judge William Orrick issued the injunction at the request of 16 cities and counties nationally led by San Francisco that in a lawsuit filed in February argued that the administration was unlawfully trying to force local officials to cooperate with federal immigration arrests.
JUST IN: A federal judge has barred the Trump administration from pulling federal funds from places it deems “sanctuary cities,” saying the policy is unconstitutional. https://t.co/dySDiYKm5P pic.twitter.com/S43Qlhw2OO

It’s not even the first time a judge has blocked Trump’s efforts to hold sanctuary cities to account:
Those jurisdictions include the cities of Minneapolis, New Haven, Portland, St. Paul, Santa Fe and Seattle. They argue that the administration is seeking to punish them for exercising their rights to limit the use of their resources for federal civil immigration enforcement.
The lawsuit challenged an executive order Trump signed that threatened to cut off federal funding to sanctuary jurisdictions that limit or refuse to cooperate with federal immigration law enforcement, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
During his first term as president, Trump in 2017 signed a similar executive order targeting sanctuary jurisdictions. San Francisco sued then too, leading Orrick to block the policy in a ruling that was upheld by the San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
Tuesday Morning Minute: No-Name Judges
Here’s some of the gobbledygook the judge wrote to explain his ruling:
“The Cities and Counties have also demonstrated a likelihood of irreparable harm. The threat to withhold funding causes them irreparable injury in the form of budgetary uncertainty, deprivation of constitutional rights, and undermining trust between the Cities and Counties and the communities they serve.”
What about all the “irreparable harm” caused to these communities because of their authorities’ refusal to enforce the laws and their “open-arms” posture toward illegal immigrants, some of whom are gang members and criminals? The cities, in open defiance of the federal government, are nevertheless permanently entitled to our taxpayer dollars because they might face “budgetary uncertainty?”

Yet again, a single leftist judge is dictating policy.
Specifically, protecting jurisdictions who harbor illegal alien invaders.
It must end. pic.twitter.com/L2sYyl1hHy
We knew the Dems and progressive media would attack Trump with full force the moment he stepped into the Oval Office, but their game isn’t working nearly as well as it did during his first term. TDS-ridden judges across the nation, it would seem, are more than happy to pick up the slack and do everything in their power to thwart the commander-in-chief.
Editor's Note: Radical leftist judges are doing everything they can to hamstring President Trump's agenda to make America great again.
