MSNBC has been an unabashedly anti-Trump, far-left cable news outlet for years now, but with the reelection of Donald Trump, viewers are simply tuning them out, and their ratings have fallen through the floor. With toxic personalities like Joy Reid, Rachel Maddow, Nicolle Wallace, Lawrence O’Donnell, Ari Melber, the laughable Joe Scarborough and his wife Mika Brzezinski and more, they regularly spew venom, distorted “facts,” and divisive opinions.
It’s simply no longer a winning formula, and now network president Rashida Jones is paying the price.
MSNBC boss Rashida Jones announced she is leaving as the left-leaning network’s ratings continue to plunge — and days before President-elect Donald Trump returns to the White House, the company said Tuesday.
Jones, who has helmed the NBC Universal-owned cable network for four years, broke the news of her immediate departure in a memo to staffers.
“After four incredible years at the helm of MSNBC and 11 years at NBCU, I have made the decision to pursue new opportunities,” Jones wrote…
She will be replaced on an interim basis by Rebecca Kutler, senior vice president of content strategy, the company said.
She did a bang-up job bringing ratings down 5 billion percent. Best of luck in your next endeavor, tanking another media company!https://t.co/yzneodPSEs

Sad days: Liberal Media Keeps Taking It on the Chin As MSNBC Takes Ratings Face Plant With Young People
Priceless: MSNBC Has Some Bad News for Joy Reid, Stephanie Ruhle and Others About Their Salaries
The struggling outlet is so desperate that they’re making Rachel Maddow actually work for her $20M+ salary, as our Teri Christoph reported:
MSNBC announced Monday that its overpaid "star host" Rachel Maddow will now actually have to earn her ginormous salary by hosting her show five days a week. Maddow, who reportedly earns $25 million per year for hosting her Monday-only show, is temporarily increasing her output in order to cover the first 100 days of Trump's second term.
This means that Alex Wagner, who currently hosts the 9 p.m. ET hour on the other four days, is being demoted to hosting a traveling roadshow called "Trumpland: The First 100 Days."

MSNBC has become such a problem for parent company Comcast that they’re spinning it off with some other properties into its own company, called SpinCo, which will separate from NBC and the news division.
It could be dark days for the liberal network. Although in the past they’ve had success spending most of their time bashing Trump and fomenting racial divisions, it would appear—at least for now—that viewers have lost their appetite for such fare. It’s entirely possible, though, that as Trump takes office next week and begins enacting his agenda (he’s already preparing over 100 executive orders), leftists with hurt feelings will need someone to turn to, and it’s conceivable that they could go back to MSNBC.
It’s also conceivable that folks have finally woken up and realized that the emperor has no clothes, and the outlet simply has lost all semblance of credibility.
