The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Wednesday that recovered documents show that six supposed journalists for Al Jazeera have been actively working with Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ).

The IDF says that due to intelligence recovered from the Gaza Strip during military operations, they can reveal that Anas Al-Sharif, Alaa Salama, Hossam Shabat, Ashraf Saraj, Ismail Abu Amr, and Talal Aruki are all affiliated with the military wings of either Hamas or PIJ.

Ismail Abu Amr was injured several months ago in Gaza by an IDF attack; during that period, Al Jazeera denied his membership in Hamas. Documents recovered by the IDF showed this was untrue.

Al Jazeera, Arabic for "peninsula,” is funded in part by the government of Qatar and is headquartered in Doha. The outlet broadcasts in English and Arabic in over 150 countries and reportedly reaches over 430 million people worldwide.

But the IDF says the records found in Gaza prove that these six, at least, are terrorists:

The tweet continues:

The IDF has disclosed intelligence information and numerous documents found in Gaza confirming military affiliation of six Al Jazeera journalists in Gaza with Hamas and the Islamic Jihad terrorist organizations, including personnel tables, lists of terrorist training courses, phone directories, and salary documents for terrorists.

These documents serve as proof of the integration of Hamas terrorists within the Qatari Al Jazeera media network.

Most of the journalists that the IDF has exposed as operatives in Hamas' military wing spearhead the propaganda for Hamas at Al Jazeera, especially in northern Gaza.

The documents discovered include how much these "journalists" were getting paid for their terror sideline gigs:

Some of the documents include personnel tables, terrorist training courses, phone books, and salary documents for terrorists.

The IDF said that this "unequivocally proves that they function as military terrorist operatives of the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip."

The IDF also said that these documents prove Al Jazeera has employed them simultaneously.

The exposed journalists are part of Hamas's military wing operating as the vanguard of Hamas's propaganda war against Israel.

It's pretty hard for a "journalism" outlet to have much credibility when some of its staff is on Hamas and PIJ's payroll.
