After the massive news broke Thursday that Israel had taken out Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind of Hamas' horrific October 7 attacks against Israel, Kamala Harris marched out importantly and delivered a truly hypocritical statement saying that “Justice has been served”—even though she opposed Israel’s efforts in Gaza from day one. As RedState’s Bonchie wrote, it was truly “shameless.”
Not to be outdone, her ostensible boss, Joe Biden, who had been on a flight to Germany when Sinwar’s death was announced, quickly trotted out his own shameless statement and, like Kamala, tried to liken the Israeli operation to America’s Bin Laden moment.
Of course, the hapless president famously opposed America’s killing of the 9/11 mastermind, but why let facts get in the way? "It’s a good day… for the world,” he said in his statement, neglecting to add that if it had been up to him, this day would never have occurred:
Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar is dead.

This is a good day for Israel, for the United States, and for the world.

Biden immediately tried to take some of the credit for the Israeli effort:
With our intelligence help, the IDF relentlessly pursued Hamas’s leaders, flushing them out of their hiding places and forcing them onto the run.
That one must have made Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu feel sick to his stomach, considering the Biden-Harris regime has been begging the Jewish state to stand down for months.

But Old Joe wasn’t done and tried to bask in the glory of another success that he tried to prevent:
To my Israeli friends, this is no doubt a day of relief and reminiscence, similar to the scenes of witnessed throughout the United States after President Obama ordered the raid to kill Osama Bin Laden in 2011.
The man simply has no shame. At the time, of course, he said: “Mr. President, my suggestion is, don’t go.”

The truth is, Biden-Harris simply hoped Israel would agree to a magical ceasefire that would somehow solve everything, and that way, it wouldn’t be an issue in the election. Netanyahu wasn’t having it, however, and wanted to take out Hamas for good:
President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris hoped the ongoing violence in the Middle East might simmer below the surface in the final weeks of the presidential race, but fresh Israeli military offensives are making that virtually impossible, U.S. officials and campaign aides say.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has set the Gaza Strip ablaze with a renewed bombing campaign and launched a ground invasion into Lebanon alongside aerial strikes in Beirut aimed at annihilating the militant group Hezbollah. He is expected to order an imminent attack on Iran’s military facilities in response to its missile strike on Israel this month.
The rapid escalation has tied the Biden administration in knots, resulting in the United States first calling for an immediate cease-fire in Lebanon only to reverse that policy nine days later and openly endorse Israel’s ground offensive.
Biden and Harris would love nothing more for this issue to simply disappear—but I’m betting Netanyahu has exactly zero interest in that happening, not just because he’d probably rather not deal with these kneecapping “allies” in a future administration, but he wants to finish up his military operations.
Netanyahu had already signaled he had no intention of easing off the assault on Gaza.
'Evil has suffered a heavy blow, but the task before us is not yet complete,' he said as he confirmed the [Sinwar] death.
The Biden-Harris administration can’t run away from their failures on this one, and voters should act accordingly.
