Sen Chuck Grassley (R-IA) penned a letter to the Department of Justice Tuesday blasting the agency for their two-tiered system of jurisprudence and accusing them of delaying and even blocking legitimate investigations into the Biden family.

Wrote Grassley:

“This letter is based on years of investigation, including the provision of information, records, and allegations from multiple Justice Department whistleblowers that indicate there is – and has been – an effort among certain Justice Department and FBI officials to improperly delay and stop full and complete investigative activity into the Biden family.” In the missive, which was sent to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland, the Iowa Republican wrote: 

“An essential question that must be answered is this: did the FBI investigate the information or shut it down? Indeed, if those sources were improperly shut down, it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for the FBI,” he added. [Emphasis mine.]

He went on further to allege that the rot isn’t just at the top—it seeps down into the rank and file too:

“Based on the information provided to my office over a period of years by multiple credible whistleblowers, there appears to be an effort within the Justice Department and FBI to shut down investigative activity relating to the Biden family,” Grassley continued. “Such decisions point to significant political bias infecting the decision-making of not only the Attorney General and FBI Director, but also line agents and prosecutors.”

Grassley also noted that the DOJ has a penchant for labeling any facts that don't fit their narrative as "foreign disinformation," even when it is no such thing. In his letter, he described several instances of slow-walking and outright tanking of investigations; here's but one example:

"It should be emphasized that the basis for trying to shut down the Biden family [FBI form] 1023 [which contained bribery allegations against the Bidens] has been described to my office as highly suspect and is contradicted by other documents my office has been told exist within the Foreign Influence Task Force, FBI Seattle Field Office, FBI Baltimore Field Office, and FBI HQ holdings," Grassley wrote.

Grassley pointed out many other questionable decisions by the DOJ, all of which tilted the scales of justice in Joe Biden's favor. 

Anyone who has been paying attention since Merrick Garland took over Justice has to be horrified by the way he's politicized and weaponized the department to the point where it would be right at home in a third-world dictatorship. The FBI will send SWAT teams to the homes of anti-abortion activists, raid the residence of a former president in a documents case, yet ignore the mountains of evidence pouring out daily that the president and his son engaged in corrupt business practices and used the power of his office(s) to enrich themselves. 

I know some readers are tired of "strongly-worded" letters emanating from the House Judiciary Committee and from senators like Chuck Grassley, but as long as this corrupt administration is in power, that's the best we can hope for. At least they're taking names and bearing witness so that, hopefully, one day, these unscrupulous despots will be held to account.
