Former President Donald Trump criticized Benjamin Netanyahu during a speech Wednesday night in West Palm Beach, Florida—just across a bridge from his home, Mar-a-Lago—saying that the Israeli prime minister did not help in the U.S. effort to kill Iranian General Qasem Soleimani and was also unprepared for the heinous Hamas terror attacks over the weekend that killed at least 1,200.
Trump:
I’ll never forget that Bibi Netanyahu let us down. That was a very terrible thing. I will say that. And so, when I see sometimes the intelligence– you talk about the intelligence or you talk about some of the things that went wrong over the last week, they’ve gotta straighten it out because they’re fighting – potentially – a very big force, potentially Iran. And when they have people saying the wrong things, everything they say is being digested by these people because they’re vicious and they’re smart, and boy are they vicious ’cause nobody’s ever seen the kind of sight that we’ve seen. Nobody’s ever seen it. But they cannot play games.
So, we were disappointed by that. Very disappointed, but we did the job ourself, but it was absolute precision, magnificent, beautiful job. And then Bibi tried to take credit for it. That didn’t make me feel too good, but that’s all right. So, they gotta strengthen themselves up.

Trump also relentlessly mocked octogenarian President Joe Biden during the speech and said that the attacks would never have happened if he'd been in office:
'I was also proud to be the best friend Israel has ever had in the White House by far. And if the election wasn't rigged there would be nobody even thinking about going into Israel,' Trump boasted, adding, 'but we'll swamp them the next time.'
Trump said that with 'crooked' President Joe Biden 'you have chaos, bloodshed, war, terror, and death.
'Look whats happening today, because the occupant of the White House is a laughingstock,' Trump added, alluding to this weekend's Hamas terror attack in Israel.
It wasn't the former president's only appearance of the day—he also recorded an interview with Fox News host Brian Kilmeade. The talk is scheduled to air Thursday, but Fox released an excerpt:
“He has been hurt very badly because of what’s happened here,” Trump said of Netanyahu. “He was not prepared. He was not prepared and Israel was not prepared. And under Trump, they wouldn’t have had to be prepared.”
He added, “That was not a good thing for him or for anybody.”
Watch:
Florida Governor and GOP presidential candidate Ron DeSantis weighed in with some of the strongest criticism he's leveled against the former president yet:
Terrorists have murdered at least 1,200 Israelis and 22 Americans and are holding more hostage, so it is absurd that anyone, much less someone running for President, would choose now to attack our friend and ally, Israel, much less praise Hezbollah terrorists as “very smart.”
