While Elon Musk has spent the past few years denouncing the cancer of far-left "woke" ideology, some of his companies are only just catching up.
In its latest 10-K filing released last week, Tesla removed the following line: “With a majority-minority workforce, empowering our employee resource groups to take charge in driving initiatives that attract, develop and retain our passionate workforce is vital to our continued success.”
According to Business Insider, the company's 2022 filing stated its intention to "attract a pool of diverse and exceptional candidates" by promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
"We also believe that our ability to retain our workforce is dependent on our ability to foster an environment that is sustainably safe, respectful, fair and inclusive of everyone and promotes diversity, equity and inclusion inside and outside of our business."
That same filing also cited its outreach to various DEI-focused organizations and sponsorship of employee groups, including Black at Tesla, Intersectionality, Latinos at Tesla, LGBTQ at Tesla, Veterans at Tesla, and Women in Tesla.
The company stated at the time:
We engage these networks as key business resources and sources of actionable feedback. We are also working on diversity efforts in our supply chain to expand our outreach and support to small- and large-scale suppliers from underrepresented communities to emphasize this culture with our own employees.
However, the automotive company is finally catching up with its CEO's personal views, with Musk recently denouncing DEI as merely another form of racism.
"DEI is just another word for racism," he wrote the X platform last month. "Shame on anyone who uses it."

"DEI must DIE," Musk wrote in another post. "The point was to end discrimination, not replace it with different discrimination."
“'Diversity, Equity and Inclusion' are propaganda words for racism, sexism and other -isms," he followed up. "This is just as morally wrong as any other racism and sexism. Changing the target class doesn’t make it right!"

The point was to end discrimination, not replace it with different discrimination.
Tesla's latest filing does, however, make it clear that the company hires solely on merit and does not tolerate any form of discrimination:
Our policies are designed to promote fairness and respect for everyone. We hire, evaluate and promote employees based on their skills and performance. Everyone is expected to be trustworthy, demonstrate excellence in their performance and collaborate with others. With this in mind, we will not tolerate certain behaviors.
These include harassment, retaliation, violence, intimidation and discrimination of any kind on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, disability or veteran status.
10-K filings are released by publicly traded companies every year to provide comprehensive information about their financial performance to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the general public. Needless to say, Tesla's financial position is very strong, with the business pulling in $96.77 billion in revenue last year alone.
