It's not like we need another reason to want the United States out of the United Nations; their blatant anti-Americanism and antisemitism are more than enough. But now there is yet another reason why we should insist that they move somewhere more in line with their ideas. The latest bit of U.N. nonsense took place this week, where the U.S. was the only nation to vote against a document full of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and uber-woke ideas on gender ideology.
Gender ‘justice’ takes center stage at UN Commission on the Status of Women—even if they can’t define the phrase or what a woman is | The Post Millennial | https://t.co/E8hPzudTDT https://t.co/w84ypWOVR9

The 36 member-nations of the U.N. Commission on Women put out a yearly document that spotlights issues, including injustices, affecting women around the world. Several members of the Trump administration were at the meeting, including Bethany Kozma, Director of Global Affairs (OGA) at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Kozma explains that the series of steps that took place was a bit suspect from the start. She stated that the document was a woke, DEI-heavy paper filled with gender ideology and vague language about "reproductive rights." Kozma added that there was “No mention of motherhood or unique female experiences, and it failed to define what a woman is.” In short, this document was in no way aligned with Trump administration policies. Kozma went on to say:
“The UN Commission on Women is supposed to be for women, yet for years, it’s been co-opted to include men pretending to be women. Many countries claim to support and empower women, yet some of them cannot even answer the simple question: ‘What is a woman? Thanks to the moral leadership of President Trump, the tide is changing and we’re standing up for women and girls. And I really was hopeful that we could come to an agreement.”
Kozma continued, saying:
“The text was not something that the U.S. liked at all. It would not have been something that we would have ever put out on behalf of the United States government, but we had offered several amendments that were just very common sense.”

Here is where things get interesting. After repeated requests for an amendment that would specifically define men and women, on Sunday night, the commission sent a final draft of the document to the U.S. delegation with no acknowledgment of any amendments the U.S. had put forward. Amendments were also to be voted on separately, but were presented together. The problem: Had the amendments been presented separately, nations would have been free to vote for some but not others. Put together, they failed. As a result, the U.S. was the only nation in the world to vote against the document. Those hotbeds of women's rights, Côte d'Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Mali, Mauritania, and Saudi Arabia abstained.

Was this an attempt to make it look like the U.S. does support and defend women? Bethany Kozma says possibly. So, in the end, what does this woke, DEI soup of ridiculousness do for the rights of girls and women worldwide? Not much. If you can't do a simple thing like define what a woman is, how can you defend them?
The United Nations has openly worked against the rights of women.

Why else would countries like Iran have been on the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW)? https://t.co/17KuhvPit8
