Al Gore Boos Commerce Sec. Lutnick at Davos Dinner in Attempt to Get People to Care What He thinks

Conservatives love to giggle and point at Democratic politicians who suffer from acute Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). But what's even more fun is former Democratic politicians who have long blasted past their fifteen minutes of fame, and will do just about anything to stay relevant, and the more immature and silly the attempt is, the more they engage in it.

The latest example is former Vice President Al Gore. On Tuesday, "AlGore," as Rush used to call him, was attending a dinner at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. One of the speakers at the dinner was Trump Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. Lutnick apparently rattled a few Euroweenie elitists with his comments, saying that "the world should focus on coal as an energy source rather than renewables," and allegedly made what some attendees considered disparaging remarks about Europe. It was reported that several people walked out of the speech that was described as "tense" and "noisy and spicy." But according to the Commerce Department, there was only one person who booed Lutnick, and that was Al Gore.

Gore defended his booing, saying, “It’s no secret that I think this administration’s energy policy is insane. And at the end of his speech, I reacted with how I felt, and so did several others.” Like his fellow Democrats, Al Gore surely has a case of TDS, but he suffers from it with many of his fellow former politicians on the island of irrelevence. Other than the globalists at Davos, who cares what he thinks?

It didn't take Gore long to find his new line of work after leaving the vice presidency in 2001. Climate change and declaring that the world will end if we all don't start composting, or something, have made Al Gore very rich. But as my colleague Bob Hoge recently reported, AlGore has been dead wrong on every climate prediction he has made. Let's take a trip down memory lane:

In the early 2000s, Gore predicted that “Within the decade, there will be no more snows on Kilimanjaro.” A similar prediction was made about Glacier National Park. He told a story about hiking in the park in 1998 and posited this prediction: “Within 15 years, this will be the park formerly known as Glacier." Gore was so incredibly wrong that in 2020, the Park Service removed a sign that said the glaciers were disappearing. Surprise, turns out Al Gore knows nothing about glaciers.

But maybe the best climate whopper told by Gore came from his 2006 climate alarmist movie, An Inconvenient Truth, otherwise known by another Rushism, Earth in the Lurch. Gore predicted that Manhattan could be underwater in the future due to rising sea levels. At last check, people visit the World Trade Center Memorial near the tip of the island daily.

But like his fellow climate alarmist compatriots, Al Gore is also a huge hypocrite. While Gore lectured everyone about things like electricity usage, a 2017 National Center for Public Policy Research report busted him for his own wattage usage. Gore's Nashville home sucked up an average of 19,241 kilowatt hours (kWh) per month. That comes out to around 34 times higher than the average home usage of 901 kWh a month. The report goes on to state that, “Gore guzzles more electricity in one year than the average American family uses in 21 years.”

Add to this Gore's history of flying alone on private jets, and he fits right in with the snooty Davos invite-only crowd. They would be the only ones who care anymore what Al Gore thinks. Sorry, Al, your irrelevance to normal people is something you are going to have to get used to.

The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject its globalist agenda.
