Media Continues Absurdity, Insists on Using Term 'Pregnant People' After Trump Tylenol Announcement

With the election of Donald Trump, most of the insane policies of the Biden administration have been eradicated. Ridiculous woke ideas like diversity, equity, and inclusion, and pronouns were soundly rejected by Americans. But the propaganda arm of the Democrat party, otherwise known as the media, is not going down without a fight, and it appears they will hang onto wokeism at least for the foreseeable future. Whether they are true believers is irrelevant. The reason is more likely straight-up fear of the most militant wing of the party, and the latest example is just downright silly.

On Monday, President Trump announced that several studies have indicated links between the use of Tylenol, the brand name for the generic drug acetaminophen, during pregnancy, and the development of early neurological conditions such as autism. But because it is an announcement by Trump, the media instinctively sets out to discredit it. In their zeal to do so, they gave us yet another instance of hilarity. Much of the legacy media would only use the term "pregnant people" in their coverage in an apparent attempt to pacify transgender supporters.

Among the dinosaur media outlets that would not admit to the biological fact that only women can get pregnant was CNN, whose headline on the story read, “What pregnant people should know about acetaminophen." The first sentence of the story is this:

“Pregnant people should not be afraid to take Tylenol, experts say, rebuking unproven claims made by the Trump administration that it can cause autism."

They were forced to use the term "woman" when they quoted a child psychologist. PBS also joined in on Wokeapalooza, but didn't have the cajones to use pronouns or pregnant people. Instead, they relied on the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists' chief of clinical practice, Dr. Christopher Zahn, who did use the term "pregnant people." How cutting-edge of them. Not to be outdone, The Guardian called the announcement "utter rubbish" (say that with a British accent) and added:

“Medical professionals, pregnant people and readers with a relationship to autism are furious about Monday’s announcement from the Trump administration involving Tylenol and its alleged connection to autism."

The Guardian also took the inanity one step further with this nugget:

“Some pregnant readers were also frustrated with the announcement, given that their options for managing pain and illness are already extremely limited."

While it may have been used in LGBTQ circles for years, it was former Congresswoman and Squad member Cori Bush (D-MO) who used the term "pregnant people" during a hearing in May of 2021, and the left took it and ran with it. But, as usual, the left doesn't see the bigger picture, and the fact that using this term could be harmful to the actual people who give birth, women. In a February 2022 paper written by ten women's health experts from the U.S., Europe, and Asia, they wrote that the term "dehumanizes" mothers, stating the obvious. “Women have unique experiences, needs, and rights in relation to pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding that are not shared with others."

But as the militant transgender movement has become more prominent, the belief in actual science and biology has taken a back seat for the left. And the ease with which they can intimidate others to use their terminology is greater, especially for an entity as spineless as the media.

If only the media cared as much about truth-telling as they do about appeasing the left.

The mainstream media continues to deflect, gaslight, spin, and lie.
