Most conservatives can feel it. Since Charlie Kirk's assassination, there is something different. America feels different. It might be too soon to know what the total effect of his death will be. But one thing is becoming very clear: Republicans and conservatives have had enough. Politics is no doubt a dirty business, but the dangerous rhetoric coming from the left is no longer going to go unanswered. There is example after example of the left inciting violence, but either because of it or despite it, there may be a new million-dollar question making its way through the Democrat party.
The FACT that Democrat leaders that are anti-American, in so many ways, still go and give speeches, is proof that the Right is NOT violent like the Democrats

Believe it or not, Democrats are now contemplating whether or not they should refrain from calling President Donald Trump, Republican lawmakers, and arguably, Trump supporters "fascists" and "Nazis," in the aftermath of Kirk's death. There is apparently a real divide forming among Democrats as to whether or not this kind of incendiary rhetoric should stop. Ya' think?
Whether they are acting in their own self-interest or thinking ahead to the 2026 midterms is unclear. But among those who may finally be getting a clue is Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL), who said:
The truth is, we need to be pulling back some of our colleagues who are acting in those ways. Some of the statements that I’m hearing are completely crazy, full of hate, and a lot of times it goes unchecked.
Another often rational Democrat voice in the House, Rep. Ro Khanna (CA), who, although pacifying the radical wing of his party with a thinly veiled "both sides-ism," said:
We all need to watch our rhetoric. I’m trying never to use inflammatory language. I’m trying to be precise in what I say and to figure out how we can find common ground in this country.
Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), the number two Democrat in the Senate, stated, “Let’s be clear: Republicans are not Nazis,” and “Democrats are not evil.” While that's damn nice of Sen. Durbin to acknowledge, he is not seeking reelection in 2026, so what does he care? He can say anything he wants.
As you might expect, not every Democrat is on board with McCormick and Durbin's newfound "can't we all just get along" epiphany. Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) is a possible 2028 Democrat presidential contender, and doesn't appear to have any plans to tone down his language because "Democracy!" or something. He stated:
We are in a fight right now to save our democracy. That’s true. I spent my entire career trying to push back against the growing trends of violence in this country, but I do believe that within the traditional bounds of politics, we have to act urgently right now to stand up against an attempt to try to destroy our democracy.
If you:

Protest against Israel, protest in favor of terrorists, protest against deporting violent illegals, hate capitalism, support socialism, support gun confiscation, support using violence to prevent free speech, yet call others fascists, you must be a democrat.
Just days before Kirk was gunned down at a campus event in Utah, Murphy said during an appearance on the "Sunday Night with Chuck Todd" podcast:
Our only opportunity, our only chance to save our democracy is to fight fire with fire right now. We’re in a war right now to save this country. And so you have to be willing to do whatever is necessary in order to save the country.

Then, there was Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), who no one would expect to connect any series of dots, recently stated that calling Trump a "wannabe Hitler" is “not necessarily saying ‘go out and hurt somebody.'" I'm not from the South, but bless her heart.
There's an old saying that has come up quite frequently in the last week. "When someone tells you who they are, believe them." Democrats have told the world exactly who they are by giving a wink and a nod to the Hitler rhetoric, and the fact that this is a dilemma for them is stunning. They know what they are doing and why, and their refusal to own any responsibility for radicalized leftists is wearing thin.
They may just find that in November of 2026, Americans really do have long memories.
