Another deal has been struck on lowering the cost of medical treatments and medicines, accoridng to an announcement event held at the White House in the Oval Office on Thursday afternoon.
Right off the top while thanking a whole list of Cabinet officials, President Trump mentioned Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.--then riffed a little on Bobby's wife's recent appearance on "The View." Of actress Cheryl Hines, Trump said, "I'm never going to get into an argument with her!"

Then he got down to business, saying that "after extensive negotiations, EMD Serono, the largest fertility drug manufacturer in the world, has agreed to provide massive discounts" on its fertility products sold in the U.S.

As RedState previously wrote, the WH announced earlier in Oct. that several major companies have agreed to reduced pricing on pharmaceuticals for American patients, including those on Medicare.

Trump also spoke about changes in workplace insurance related to infertility treatments and medications

Like in the other drug announcements, the drug giant has agreed to give Most Favored Nation status on all future pharmaceuticals sold in the United States, Trump said.

Senator Katie Britt (R-AL) called the Trump administration's support for the new initiative on IVF insurance coverage a "game changer":

When the president invited RFK Jr. to speak a few words, the latter explained that some of the work the administration is doing in this area is thanks to Trump's MAHA agenda, which is looking into endocrine disruptors as a potential cause of modern infertility. He then thanks Pres. Trump for his leadership on the health crisis.
He mixed in a reference to a recent comment Pres. Trump made in the wake of the Israel-Hamas peace deal about doubting whether he will get to Heaven:
