'As a Jewish Person': Emhoff Doubles Down on Debunked Lies About Trump, Hitler in South FL Speech

Maybe you can help me sort out a mystery, readers. The Democrat Party has been assuring us for months, with the aid of a compliant legacy media, that presidential nominee Kamala Harris has this one in the bag, and since the Democrat convention, along with running mate Tim Walz, has been uplifting and motivating Americans everywhere to cast their ballots for the ticket as soon as their local polling places open.

If that's true, then explain this: Over the past week, the Second Gentleman, Doug Emhoff, has been thrown onto a weird itinerary of events in support of Harris. How so? Take a look at this clip from an event in Michigan on Oct. 20:

That's Emhoff stumping for Kamala in deep-blue Oakland County, while spreading nonsensical "proof" that former President Donald Trump is antisemitic and will blame an election loss in November on Jews.

Emhoff repeated similar lies about Trump on Wednesday. This time, of course, he doubled down on the debunked lies spread by The Atlantic:

Emhoff was scheduled to take part in two campaign events in Florida--one, a fundraiser dinner in Miami. The other was, curiously, described as a "Get Out the Vote" rally considering it was set to happen in deep-blue, Broward County.

Gabby Deutch, the senior national correspondent for Jewish Insider, snapped this shot of him speaking at the South Florida rally, while capturing some of what Emhoff claimed were his deep concerns "as a Jewish person":

Emhoff said, per a Guardian reporter at the event:

Publicly, at least, Emhoff believes the state is still in play. “We can win Florida. We should win Florida!” he told a lively gathering of supporters at a Get Out the Early Vote rally at the OB Johnson Center in Hallandale Beach, a Fort Lauderdale suburb in the Democratic stronghold of Broward county.

He filled up his Bingo card with the hot-button issues the Democrats are running on, as a hedge against their base drifting further into depression and deciding to sit home on Nov. 5, including abortion on demand in every state, gun confiscation... and Donald Trump wanting to be Hitler:

But Emhoff did cover a number of other familiar recent Democratic talking points in his half-hour speech, including Trump’s reported admiration for Adolf Hitler’s military generals, which, as he pointed out, Harris addressed earlier Wednesday.

“We really need to listen to what Donald Trump is saying, what’s coming out of his mouth. We lived through it when he was president. Somehow we got through it. This time around, he poses an even greater threat – to the economy, to women, and our very lives,” he said.

“We can’t look away from this. This is as real as it gets. This is right in front of our faces. He’s completely unfit, unhinged and un-American. We need to turn the page on this chapter of American history.”

Much like Kamala, something else about this family is inauthentic. Around the time of President Joe Biden's inauguration in Jan. 2020, a progressive Jewish newsletter reached out to the spokesman for Harris' stepdaughter (Emhoff's adult daughter), Ella Emhoff, in hopes of hearing about her experience as a member of an interfaith Jewish family. Joseph David Viola flatly told the publication “Ella is not Jewish,” but the editor decided to assign a reporter to reach out again, trying to secure an interview.

The reporter got a somewhat curt and bizarre reply from the spokesman about the family:

No, sadly. Viola said in subsequent emails that  Ella’s dad has been “celebrating Judaism for a few years now but out of an independent search,” and that Ella was living on her own in New York during this period. “It’s not something she grew up with,” he explained. “Ella truly has no qualms with the faith, but she does not want to speak on behalf of Judaism, as she does not celebrate herself.”

It seems that Ella Emhoff may have changed her views on Judaism since 2020. And, not for the better. A New York Post investigation reportedly caught the vice president's adopted daughter raising money for "Palestine," including the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund, in November 2023,

Then as recently as March 2024, she solicited donations for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), whose members have since been found to have taken part in Hamas' Oct. 7 attack on Israel. As the NY Post reported, the U.S. denounced the group and paused funding for it in December 2023.

Here are some inconvenient receipts:

You can find the image of the donation link prominently displayed in her Instagram bio in the Post's story here.

As mentioned above, Doug Emhoff told rallygoers in deep-blue Broward County that he believes Democrats can win Florida. I don't think he means it; Democrats are most likely trying their best not to let Harris drag down the down-ballot races for them.

I'm willing to give most people the benefit of the doubt. And there's a certain amount of pep rally element in any campaign event setting. I don't downplay that. But when someone's actions and their words don't match up repeatedly, they don't deserve our respect anymore. These are not the actions of people who are confident about pulling out a win for Harris--and it's become highly doubtful they have the most basic grip of the skills needed to run a competent, national campaign for the highest office in the land.
