Masterful: Watch RFK Jr. Destroy Democrats Trying to Censor Him at 2023 House Weaponization Hearings

More than a year ago, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had just barely started running as a Democrat candidate for president, after announcing in April 2023. He hadn't yet made the decision to leave the political party he literally grew up in to run as an Independent, after the powers that be in that party sued to keep him off ballots across the country, and leaned on their media lackeys to defame his character. And no one could have conceived of him suspending his campaign and endorsing a Republican for president, former President Donald Trump, which just happened on Friday.

BREAKING: RFK Jr. Exits Presidential Race...and Endorses Donald Trump

No, in the summer of 2023, he was the founder of a nonprofit focused on children's health, Children’s Health Defense (CHD). Kennedy was invited to address the House Weaponization Committee as a part of the hearings on the collusion between the Biden administration and Big Tech to censor opinions they did not want to be shared. But before Kennedy could speak, the ranking Democrat member and other Democrats on the committee sought to tear down his reputation with wild accusations about him.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) just re-shared a clip from the July 20, 2023, hearing, in which Massie ceded some of his own speaking time so that RFK Jr. could explain a term he used, "malinformation."

But Kennedy began by responding to that cavalcade of Democrat "defamations" of his character about allegedly telling Black people not to take vaccines, being an adherent of Replacement Theory, etc.

If you can't read the post, Massie wrote:

Last year I had the chance to ask @RobertKennedyJr about the term #malinformation in our @Weaponization committee. Democrats tried to keep him from testifying that day because he tells it like it is. Here’s the clip

As he wrote in the original X post, "Ironically, Democrats began today’s @Weaponization hearing on censorship by voting to censor Robert Kennedy Jr’s testimony." You can read the transcript of Kennedy's prepared testimony here.

Kennedy addressed the ranking member, saying:

If the views that you and others have applied to me--have attributed to me--were actually true, I can see why I shouldn't be able to testify here today. Those are not true. These are defamations and malignancies that are used to censor me, and prevent people from listening to the actual things that I'm saying. And I think, ranking member, that we should have a real conversation, rather than ad hominem attacks.

His explanation of the word "malinformation" followed:

The term "malinformation" was coined to describe information that Facebook and Twitter and the other social media sites understood was true, but that the White House and other federal agencies wanted censored anyway for political reasons because it challenged official orthodoxies.

He then gave an example of it, telling the congresscritters about a group he was in on several social media platforms, which the government asked the companies to censor. They did so. RFK Jr. also said that his Instagram account was "taken down," too; it had 900,000 followers.

He is masterful here. And the members continuing to interrupt his point just prove the reason for the hearings to take place. They do/did not want him to speak. What was gained by this tactic, if anything? As you can see, RFK Jr. was forced to spend over four minutes correcting the record--four minutes that he could have used to share valuable information to help the American people understand what their government is doing.

But that isn't what is important to the other side of the aisle. They work to besmirch someone's character with the public, and tie them up with time-wasting hassles, so that their message never reaches the intended audience.

Some polls have already dropped that were taken during the Democrat National Convention (DNC). The Dems might find, in November, they made a big mistake kicking this particular hornet's nest.

Editor's Note: This article has been edited after publication. We asserted that Kennedy was not a presidential candidate at the time of the hearing appearance. He announced his run in April 2023. We regret the error.
