Well, this week's election outcome certainly was amazing, the scale of it mainly. Not surprising to many of us, but amazing.
And reaffirming that despite all the fog hanging around and the mud being thrown about, a majority of the American electorate could see through it all and collectively deliver a decisive verdict, as my Father forever maintained.
American voters took a brief look at Vice President Kamala Harris. They extended their nine-year political relationship with Donald Trump. They decisively rejected her opaque, jury-rigged journey to become commander in chief.
And they overwhelmingly chose the known quantity with his many accomplishments and assorted vanities. Thank goodness!
If you haven't already, I suspect you'll be seeing/hearing the excuse by Democrats that this year's unusually brief post-convention leg of the presidential campaign was the reason for their party's dramatic flop at the polls across the country. I have a quite different take on that on this week's audio.
A few comments on last week's audio commentary seemed to indicate that some people mistakenly think this written part of the post is The Post itself to go with the headline. It's not.

I'm not going to run on about what it contains this time. You can hear that for yourself. I'll just say that this week's audio commentary is an enthusiastic, preliminary look at what the former president pulled off to become the future president once again.

I'll have much more to say in greater detail in this coming Sunday's regular VIP column.
As always, after listening here, I hope you'll take a minute to read the comments below and then leave your own.
Not surprisingly, perhaps, the most recent posts under my name here centered on the never-ending campaign of 2022, 2023, and 2024. God help us!
The most recent audio commentary listed the Top 5 Reasons Kamala Harris Did Nothing to stop the outrageously uncontrolled influx and intentional dispersal of more than 10 million illegal aliens throughout the country.
Harris was an active accomplice, according to Joe Biden and her own nationally-televised testimony, to every major decision in their sad, incompetent administration. But she was specifically named point on their disastrous open-border policy.
I've always been far more interested in why things are the way they are and how they got that way. So, in the interest of avoiding yet another "Here We Go" pre-election story, this week's Sunday column looked back into our rich political history to see why Election Day and other rituals are the way they are.
