Malcolm on the Right Commentary, Ep. 3: Wait! Joe Biden Said Something That Makes Sense?

Confusing things often come out of Joe Biden’s mouth. And untrue things. And just plain wrong things.

But the other day, I was pleasantly surprised to hear something come out that made much sense. He said he looked forward to the day that the United States achieved energy independence. That sounds great, right?

No more kowtowing to OPEC countries, begging for additional oil to get the price back down to more consumer-affordable levels.

The problem with the president’s statement is: We already had energy independence, Buster Brown! He took it away with his pie-in-the-sky green energy plans to make his radical left happy.

What’s he care? He’ll never buy his own gas again.

When Biden came into office, we were no longer buying expensive oil from abroad. We were getting along with our own supplies, enhanced by Donald Trump’s aggressive and effective de-regulations and energy encouragements. In fact, we were selling vast quantities of LNG abroad.

On the first day Trump was no longer in the Oval Office, Biden killed the Keystone XL pipeline and launched his aggressive ongoing efforts to boost American energy prices, especially gas costs. They used to be under $3 a gallon. Now, they’re approaching $7 in some places.

He thinks this will drive people to switch to electric vehicles. Reality is this will actually drive people to switch to voting for Republican congressional candidates in this November’s midterm elections.
