Men in Black: MSNBC Guest Wishes 'We Could Just Blow Up All The Trump Buildings’ and Erase the Era

Donald J. Trump was America’s 45th president.

The country elected him; he served four years.

But not everyone liked him, including — evidently — a recent guest on MSNBC.

Best move at this point: Blow up all the buildings bearing The Donald’s name, and erase his entire existence.

So wishes Tim Miller, writer for The Bulwark.

Tim appeared on Deadline: White House Wednesday where the panel discussed this week’s detonation of Atlantic City’s Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino:

As reported by The Daily Caller, host Nicolle Wallace — also, apparently, not a Trumper — offered the following:

“This is the implosion of the Trump property. There it goes. Is that a metaphor, Tim? Are we done? Is this Trump and all that he ushered in? Are we done? Is it imploding?”

“[The Biden administration] is not a White House that sort of speaks without thinking. And they’re done talking about Trump.”

Tim said Joe’s a promisekeeper:

“I think that the Biden White House is and should be. And I think that President Biden has done exactly what he promised, and I think it’s worked for him politically, as you pointed out, in the polls. The rest of us aren’t done with him, and I know that’s frustrating.”

You may have seen the fantastic funfest that is the film Men in Black.

If not, the future-fighting fellas have a nifty way of eliminating witnesses of classified calamity:

Tim wishes we could do that to the last 4 years:

“I’ve heard from folks when I’m firing off tweets about Trump telling me to shut up about it, I wish you’d just be quiet and not talk about him anymore, and I understand that point of view. Everybody wants to move on. I wish we could just blow up all the Trump buildings like that with nobody in them and just kind of erase him from our memory, Men In Black style. But we can’t.”

It kind of reminds me of this:

If you’ve spent much time on social media during the last half-decade, you know many Democrat voters predicted the destruction of the earth under Trump.

By now, if I remember correctly, we’re all supposed to be living in internment camps.

Given that the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse didn’t ride, it’ll be interesting to see how those people look back on the presidency.

Unless we’re flashed by agents in ebony suits, of course.

Tim wishes we could be; for now, it appears, he’ll recall an era of anything but good. And figure a future of asphyxia:

“He’s not going anywhere. He’s still got a stranglehold on the party, which is why all of those cowards voted to let him off in the Senate over the weekend … I hope that we can move on. I’m enjoying the metaphor that you’re putting forward, Nicolle, but I think sadly, while Joe Biden has a big job to do, some of the rest of us are still going to have to keep our eyes on what’s happening in Mar-a-Lago, because I don’t think he’s going anywhere.”

So that’s his take; what’s yours?

If Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith’s Agents J and K could give you a visit with their black sunglasses and memory-erasing gizmos, what part of your lifetime’s political events would you erase?

Nicolle introduced her clip thusly: “Tim, I saved this for you. And I feel a little, well, I don’t feel bad playing it.”

Apropos, over Trump’s term, what events do you relish reliving in your non-Men-in-Black’d mind?
