Trump Provokes Praise From an Unlikely Place: Snoop Dogg

As some on the Left are announcing an end to the entire country’s nightmare, in reality, of course, this is a week of massively mixed national emotion.

Some have celebrated, others mourned.

And though Hollywood’s doubtlessly danced for the most part over Donald Trump’s exit, commendation have come from select sections of entertainment.

Count among those the mouth of a media mainstay: Pop Warner football coach, television personality, and rapper Snoop Dogg.

On a Sunday Zoom call, Snoop offered high praise for the President.

The New York Post reports the rap king was kind to the Commander-in-Chief.

“That’s great work for the President and his team on the way out,” Mr. Dogg declared.

To be sure, the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” hitmaker hasn’t always been so warm toward America’s top executive.

In a 2017 music video, the recording artist took part in a mock assassination — he pointed his play pistol at a chained, clown-faced double for The Donald and flexed his forefinger.

Out came fire — and a flag flaunting, “Bang.”

(It should be noted that the clown character was seen alive later in the video.)

It didn’t seem an affectionate gesture, but Snoop appears to have evolved — on account of one of the Leader of the Free World’s last official acts.

As observed by The Daily Wire, on Tuesday, the President pardoned Death Row Records co-founder Michael “Harry O” Harris, who’d served 30 years of a 25-to-life sentence for conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.

Per the Post, here’s what Snoop — alerted of the news a few days prior — had to say about Trump and his administration:

“They did some great work while they was in there and they did some great work on their way out. Let them know that I love what they did. It is amazing what the work of God can actually bring to life to make people understand that there is a God.”

Why’d Trump give Harry O some help?

A statement spelled it out:

“He is a former entrepreneur and has mentored and taught fellow prisoners how to start and run businesses. He has completed courses towards business and journalism degrees.”

Trump lauded Harry’s “exemplary prison record for three decades.”

Still, don’t expect to see Snoop with a red cap just yet (Crips wear blue) — he’s established himself as not-radically-Republican:

In July, the icon purportedly posted an image referring to Candace Owens and other black conservatives as “The Coon Bunch.”

The post has since been removed.

Profoundly, I believe Snoop’s sentiments are a sign of things to come.

I’m sure many will disagree, but I believe the Democrats are over their tussle with Trump.

Going forward — despite the echoing of strong accusations this week — I predict a progressively softer stance toward the man among some who previously lashed out.

In many anti-MAGA minds, he’s a threat no more.

Consider the contrast:

Another prediction: You’re not going to like where their new attentions turn.
