AOC’s got a brand new supporter.
In case you haven’t heard, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is looking to unseat big wig Chuck Schumer and make the ol’ conversion from representative to senator.
That, according to the Washington Times.
It’d be quite the story — arguably the least experienced legislator in the history of the United States Congress topples a real live straight white male monument — congressional Democrats’ big old dog, rolled by a young pup.
Are you in favor?
One guy is, and he’s a notable one.
Alexandria’s getting the endorsement of none other than the Commander-in-Chief.
On Sunday, Donald Trump hailed the face-off, claiming AOC could stick it to the man if the two go head-to-head.
As per the President, it’d be an improvement:
“Actually, that would be a big improvement – and she would win!”

Despite the constant yet contradictory claims of the mainstream media, Trump seems to usually be ahead of the opposition. So I’d say there’s a chance he’d like her to win for more than benevolent reasons.
It’d make for a more-than-uncomfortable situation: A member of the Fab Four — Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Oman, and Ayanna Pressley — suddenly warming the seat of 80-year-old Nancy Pelosi’s age-appropriate right-hand man.
There’s been less than good blood between them in the past — see Joe Cunningham’s “Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer Are Trying To Shut Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Up” or my own “Pelosi Doubles Down on AOC & Friends, Reminds Us She’s a Steel Horse: ‘Regrets is Something I Don’t Do.’”
As noted by the New York Post, on Twitter, Bernie campaign senior adviser David Sirota sounded psyched:
“Just going to say something out loud that should be obvious: The fastest way to speed up the process of changing the corrupt, do-nothing, status-quo-protecting culture of the national Democratic Party is for @AOC to defeat @ChuckSchumer in a Democratic primary in 2022.”
So whatcha think? Can she shellack Schumer? Let us all know in the Comments section.
There’s certainly a sense to it — as long as we’re getting rid of George Washington, we’d might as well replace the people who served with him.*

*For Facebook fact-checkers: Chuck Schumer didn’t actually serve with George Washington. Chuck came sometime after.
