Rebellious barbers gave Michigan’s leadership a bit of What For Wednesday.

On the lawn of the capitol, anti-lockdown protestors carried out “Operation Haircut.”

Organized by the Michigan Conservative Coalition, the hair-razing scheme was the latest shot in a bitter battle between frustrated residents and Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

Take a look:

As attendee David Dudenhoefer noted, partcipants “believe that if they can go to the grocery store and be safe, (and) they can stand in the gas station line and be safe, then they can be safe while they’re working.”

Surely it’s an increasingly popular perspective.

In states such as Michigan, many small businesses are being kept closed — AKA severely damaged — by being declared “nonessential.”

But as Oregon salon owner Lindsey Graham recently and adeptly pointed out, every job is essential to the person who needs it.

We’ve reached a point, it seems to me, where many elected officials have grossly overstepped their bounds. They’ve revealed they believe government’s place is to decide what is best for you, regardless of what you think.

That’s the absolute opposite of what America was founded upon.

At the capitol, the Michigan Department of State Police threatened to issue citations to anyone giving or receiving a new ‘do. They also schooled the unaware:

“Demonstrators have arrived at the Capitol for ‘Operation Haircut.’ All individuals engaging in haircuts are being educated on the law. Those who do not comply will be cited for disorderly conduct. All citations will be forwarded to the AG’s Office for review.”

Disorderly conduct!

In light of it all, one social media user suggested a new state sign:

Despite the tension, Gretchen — whose stay-at-home extension lasts through May 28th — has certainly stuck to her guns.

Last week, she reminded citizens of the Wolverine State not to be animals:

“I expect people to follow the law. These executive orders are not a suggestion. They’re not optional. They’re not helpful hints.”

Is it just me, or does that sound like a parent talking to a child?

Some kids are just bad seeds — as I reported May 13th, between the 1st and the 8th, approximately 1 million renegades refused to mind the governor and stay home.

And on Wednesday, those disorderly-conductin’ brutes were at it again — witness their shear rage.

Amid a spectacle of lopped locks, Michigan’s law-breakers showcased their shocking shamelessness.

Marvel over their maniacal monstrousness.

Gawk at their scissoring savagery and…dare I say…their barberism.
