Pelosi Reacts to Trump's Hope of Reopening the Country Like a Petulant Child: 'I Don't Care! I Don't Care! I Don't Care!'

On Tuesday, Nancy Pelosi got all twisted over the President’s comments on the coronavirus and the business of the country. And/or to being asked about it.

Having issued the “15 Days to Slow the Spread” initiative on March 16th (here), during a Fox News town hall Tuesday, Trump said he wants the country to reopen soon:

“I give it two weeks. I guess by Monday or Tuesday, it’s about two weeks. We will assess at that time and give it more time if we need a little more time. We have to open this country up.”

So what does the congresswoman who believes “the wall is immorality” yet has a wall on her property and doesn’t allow trespassers (here) think of Trump’s idea?

Dana Bash posed the question:

“[E]ven beyond Twitter, the President of the United States is saying that he could open it up…”

Bash got bashed:

“I don’t care! I don’t care! I don’t care!”

Kind of makes me think of this:

Brace for mainstream media outrage in response to Nancy’s lack of care. Yes?

Either way, Pelosi’s not into whatever that guy in the White House posts to social media:

“I don’t have time to follow people’s twits, tweets, Twitters, whatever. Tweets. So, don’t expect me to comment on that.”

About the country returning to some sort of business as usual, the Speaker of the House accused Trump of doing something I’ve never heard of — “notion-mongering”:

“My opinion is that it is not scientific-based. He’s notion-mongering, as he does almost everyday.”

Therefore, why would she waste time:

“So rather than waste any time commenting on the President, I would rather spend our time focusing on the fact that any president or anybody with responsibility should be scientifically inclined, evidence-based, data, what is going to make the difference.”

Would proposing a COVID-19 relief bill goofily stocked with Green New Deal initiatives and other unrelated projects be wasting time?

As for the country opening, it’s certainly true that there must be a balance between prevention and economic function.

As many — including the President — have pointed out, people need to work in order to provide for their families.

“Our people want to return to work. They will practice Social Distancing and all else, and Seniors will be watched over protectively & lovingly. We can do two things together. THE CURE CANNOT BE WORSE (by far) THAN THE PROBLEM! Congress MUST ACT NOW. We will come back strong!”

Back to notion-mongering, I can certainly see why Nancy doesn’t care: Why would an economic breakdown — or even a zombie apocalypse — scare her?

After all, the “scientifically inclined, evidence-based, data” kinda lady’s already been through Armageddon:
