As you may have heard, Kamala Harris is out.
As I covered last month, a report had indicated her campaign was suffering internally.
Beyond that, for whatever reason, she hadn’t seemed to competitively connect with voters this time around.
The following may not have helped:
Kamala Harris claims that Rudy Giuliani has "broken many laws"
CNN's Anderson Cooper asks her what laws he has broken
Harris responds: "Well, I, I, I don't know" pic.twitter.com/N2dUg7b2av

Beyond that, she was possibly too far left of center in order to take on Trump in 2020. But according to BET founder Bob Johnson, that’s all of ’em:
“I do not see anybody in the Democratic primary races today that is enough in the center — where I believe most of the voters are…”
Speaking of, Kamala is, of course, a U.S. senator. Therefore, she’s got plenty professional political endeavors to keep her busy, including her recent Family Friendly Schools Act, which — ironically — keeps families more apart (here).
Upon Sen. Harris’s departure from presidential pursuits, Donald Trump took the time to chime in.
In his usual style, he bid her adieu:
Too bad. We will miss you Kamala! https://t.co/QQd9SiFc0y

Announcing the conclusion of her campaign, Kamala touted the success along the way:
“[I] believe our campaign showed every child in America — regardless of their color or gender — that there are no limits to who can lead and hold positions of power in our country.”
Sounds good. And I believe she’s right — as we see more women throw their hat into the ring, little girls are being taught that the presidential race isn’t a Men Only sport.
Fellow runner Joe Biden — whose lurid lesson in leg-hair lovin’ is one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever seen in politics — gave Kamala a metaphorical hug and a kiss (and maybe another hug, and a couple other kisses, and a shoulder rub, and a touch to the face, and then maybe a top-of-the-head smooch?):
Kamala Harris is an incredible talent with unlimited potential. Her career has been defined by taking on those who abuse power and seeking equity and justice for all people. Her intellect and insight will continue to be needed by the Democratic Party and the country.

In case you missed it:
I thought people were joking or it was doctored. But there is video of Joe Biden discussing kids petting his leg hair and sitting on his lap. 😳 “Weird and creepy, 2020.” pic.twitter.com/1UGNZ3u4Yk

Back to Kamala, she responded to President Trump’s farewell:
Don’t worry, Mr. President. I’ll see you at your trial. https://t.co/iiS17NY4Ry
