Wow.

At the Citizens Clean Elections Commission’s “We the Voters” conference Saturday, Arizona Democratic Party Chair Felecia Rotellini made a claim so wholly absurd that it’s hard for me to believe — and I write about politics.

According to Felecia…as stated the same day the President and other officials watched U.S. forces take out ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (here)…well, here she is:

“[D]onald Trump is manipulating the White House, and has aligned himself with ISIS…”

EGAD!

Arizona Democrat Party Chairman Felecia Rotellini: Trump “has aligned himself with ISIS”

Someone with sanity interrupted:

“I have to say that that is not true. That is not true.”

And let me say again — this wasn’t just some nut off the street. This was the Democratic chairwoman.

But such is the state of things.

As reported by The Daily Wire, it was about an hour later that soldiers over took Abu.

Oh, and the voice correcting Felecia? That was Republican Party of Arizona Chair Dr. Kelli Ward.

Kelli ended up talking to TDW about it:

“It is extremely disconcerting to hear the top Democrat in Arizona slander and malign an innocent person for being aligned with the world’s most evil terrorists, let alone the President of the United States. While fear-mongering from the Left is expected up to a point, we have to draw the line somewhere if they’re going to refuse to police themselves. Baseless statements like those made by the chair of the Arizona Democrat party are wildly irresponsible and not rooted in reality.”

It must be that Derangement syndrome people’ve been talking about.

Maybe Felecia thinks comments like those will get rid of Trump.

Au contraire — it’s comments like those that elected him.
