On NBC Sunday, Chuck Todd attempted a bringing of balance to the Force by laying out a counterweight to 2020 hopeful Joe Biden’s growing gaggle of goof-ups.
The steadying counterpart? Donald Trump’s “lies.”
As reported by Fox News, during Meet the Press, the host offered this poignant question:
“For Biden, whispers about his age have grown louder, especially given some recent verbal faceplants. But, the question is: In the age of Trump, is it possible to have the Biden gaffe conversation, without having the Trump lies conversation?”
Chuck then played a video which basically felt like this:
Dear America,
Here are a bunch of mistakes Joe’s made. He’s even told a story about a military man that never happened. Yeah, but Trump makes mistakes, too. And what do mistakes matter, or maybe one lie, when we’ve got Donald “King Liar” Trump in the White House?? This dude lies like a maniac. Lies, lies, lies, lies, lies. And then a buncha lies. Donald Trump is a dirty liar, and everyone should vote for Joe Biden. If you don’t, you’re an idiot. And that’s news.
Love, NBC
See what you think:
WATCH: Washington Post reports Pres Trump has made more than 12,000 false and misleading statements. Do Biden gaffes matter? #MTP #IfItsSunday@chucktodd: "Biden has been gaffe-prone for decades. Joe’s been making quite the name for himself lately, as spotlighted by Yours Truly:
Joe Biden’s Cool New Campaign Strategy Seems Iffy: If You Think He’s Too Old, Don’t Vote For Him
But not everyone’s keen on Joe: Cory Booker believes the obvious way to oust Trump is to vote for the guy who’s sure to lose.
And on we go to 2020. It’s gonna be a wacky ride.
