Not a thing in the world makes someone cooler than cussing.
It’s SuperCool.
Beto O’Rourke got hip on CNN’s State of the Union Sunday, with his condemnation of mass shootings.
Speaking to Dana Bash, the anti-millionaire millionaire (here) — who can actually even change a tire, maybe (here) — postulated the malady is “f***ed up.”
Because nothing says “President of the United States” any more than that.
A clip was played where Beto made the comment to a crowd; the expletive was bleeped.
However, during CNN’s live show — as reported by The Daily Caller — he did the same.
Hit it, Lenny Bruce…
I mean, President Scrubbed B*lls…
That is, POTUS O’Rourke:
“The rhetoric that we’ve used, the thoughts and prayers that you just referred to, it has done nothing to stop the epidemic of gun violence, to protect our kids, our families, our fellow Americans in public places. At a Walmart in El Paso where 22 were killed. In Sutherland Springs, in a church. One or two a day all over this country, 100 killed daily in the United States of America.”
And the really, really cool coolness:
“We’re averaging about 300 mass shootings a year. So yes, this is f***ed up. If we don’t call it out for what it is, if we’re not able to speak clearly, if we’re not able to act decisively, we’ll continue to have this kind of bloodshed in America. And I cannot accept that. We’re going to speak as defiantly and as strongly as we can but we’re also going to take action. Universal background checks, red flag laws, end of the sales of weapons of war and buying those AK-47s and AR-15s back so they cannot be used against our fellow Americans.”
It should be noted that America does not sell “weapons of war.” Or it should be noted that America sells lots of different “weapons of war,” and they aren’t just a few scary-looking rifles upon which some Democrats appear to be fixated.
A gun is a hollow tube with an open end and an explosion, the pressure of which forces out a projectile. Whether it’s a hunting rifle or a much-more-commonly-used-in-crime handgun, lethal is lethal.
Beto’s clear on what’s war-level firepower: the F word.
As stated clearly, if he doesn’t use vulgarity, we’ll “continue to have this kind of bloodshed.”
Thanks to Beto for stopping the f***ing bullets.
As for combat-ready weaponry, according to Business Insider, here are a few of the “standard issue” guns carried by U.S. Marines:
- Beretta M9 semi-automatic pistol
- Colt M45A1 semi-automatic pistol
- Glock 19M semi-automatic pistol
- Benelli M4 Super 90 12-gauge shotgun
Does the Democratic Party want to ban those weapons of war?
